na, that graphic didnt even exist back then. It could be an Asian thing.

if im not mistaken 'worldgem bits' are the little things that players shouldnt see that dev's place to trigger spawns in areas.

Not to mention they added stacking to another item that uses that graphic recently... could very well just be an arcane gem that lost its name.
