I think the juka and meer items are cooler than the statues that you get from turning the arties in. It would be cool if once and awhile you would find a item that didn't have a timer on it.

Indeed, some of the decorative stuff from it is nice and would be great if maybe after we help the meer/juka that they might get a new quest or some way to get the arties without a timer. Maybe a recipe or special formula to make the Meer and Juka wines/ale or a way to refill the keg arties.

sure the items use existing art but the colors and names on them would be a nice addition for Deco players.
Maybe make it so you gain alil Humility when turning them in, and/or add a shady NPC that will clean the timer off the items for a small fee?

I hear ya there i guess, since theres still exploiters out there trying to sell "Rares" that are old peerless keys that they used a bug to clear the timer and name off of.
Maybe have the artifacts rarely spawn a keepable version of one of the items?
Hehe yeah. My initial thought was "boy i'd like most of these meer/juka artifacts way more than the statues".
most of the basic art of those items are already available around:
- 2 books: stealable
- tapestry: rubble from the old magincia quest
- urns (big and small): replica from meraktus spawn
the new items are:
- single book
- heirlooom vase
IMHO the heirloom vases can be added to masonry (perhaps with a recipe?) and the single book can be put as stealable too

I'd prefer craftable - if you have enough loyalty with the Meer, or the Juka, you use some of it as a favour to ask them how to make their stuff (slight issue for crafters getting the points for loyalty, since as usual it all seems to based on killing stuff rather than actually helping anyone...) - maybe it could be done through 'recipes' for crafters that the fighters can get and trade or sell.
Failing that, though, I'm not convinced the timers being removed would create a big problem with scamming. I've always wondered why timers on expiry made the item vanish - if the item remained behind, but worthless as anything other than deco, I honestly can't see an issue. The system to let that happen exists - it's used on 'honesty' items for when their 'reward period' is over. Quite why it doesn't apply everywhere I really can't quite understand.

I miss all our old smilies too. Feel sorry for the fans of the ponies, they just had gotten one and poof. Oh well
Sign me up for having a way to snag some of these meer/juka drops as deco. Those Meer bones are great and would look good locked in my basement floor. Maybe some kinda chain quest system after the event is over or something. *shrugs*
