Wind of Corruption turned into the shield???

So I just finished doing this quest to get the garg version of this weapon. I placed the weapon into a chest to swap it to my garg and log in to find the shield???? Can anyone shed some light onto my loss?

should of gotten both from quest, did you place just the weapon into chest? if so thats quite odd. I had mine in a chest since the day it started and took it out to give my new thrower last week, and it was fine. also did you possibly set the shield into chest and then set the weapon on top of it? if so look under shield it may have just swapped layers with it

Thanks for the reply. I am a moron who forgot which box I put the item in....I just finished redoing the first two crystals and was on my way to the third when I read this, phew.

What character do you use to do the quest?

I used a pair accounts but I tanked it with a dexxer.

I lead all the spawn away except for the rouser. My main dex guy just tanked that while my other account healed and disco'd. I have a 480 skill bard so I was also using the Perseverance spell which was giving my dex guy -22% damage taken. When the Void Manifestation spawned I got a honor off and just beat it down. It would cast some mean stuff in a combo like a rev/Animated Weapon and Rising Colossus all at once but I just disco'd them all and waited for the "boss" to drop. My bard stayed at about 7-8 tiles away so no area effect spells dragged him into the fight.

First set of "keys" was rough but the second was easy compared.
