Will there be snow this year?

NO SNOW!!!
Bad enough we will all be hammered by the real stuff this season, all over the USA and CAN, I'm sure. In my part of the world, 3 major snow storms have already killed any kind of holiday mood. The last, the snow is still on the ground... 3 weeks later.
I sure dont want to recall in to my houses in Yew and see the fake stuff that makes my real blood cold.
You want snow? Visit Artic Island and hold some ice cubes in both hands.

I like to see it falling, however it makes the in-game map totally useless, that's how I remember overland Ilsh being last time (just one big white-out).
I suppose I'd feel the same way if I lived in the north, but here on the gulf coast snow is a foreign substance. Although I love it in UO and on Christmas cards, I'm happy not to have to live in it in RL.NO SNOW!!!

I enjoy the snow.
Sure it can make things somewhat inconvenient... but honestly doesn't real snow do that too?
I like it... makes the world look all new fresh and exciting. What would be REAL fun would be if they could add some random spawning icy patches too...
Could you imagine running through fel and then Whooops slipping on an icy patch and falling off your mount! *laughs*

Falling snow AND snow on the ground please!!! I love being in my cottage deep in the forest of Yew with the snow covered ground, icicles, twinkling holiday fireflies, sparkly tree and now Santa Ho Ho Ho-ing!! *smiles*

I like snow in UO so I'll vote yes. I hate snow in RL, which is why I live in California.
On a related 'tis the season note, isn't it time for turkeys to go away? They're boring to fight and played out so I wouldn't be disappointed if they went away forever and got replaced by something new next Thanksgiving.

Did I say anything about stealing Christmas? Or have I been supporting the gifts and events for many-many years? Santa events at my mall? Tricked out decor in UO? The nicest lit house in the real life neighborhod I live in? You cant see it... but it's very nice.

Yes please lots of snow! I have the white stuff where I live and its sometimes annoying but also pretty between the storms. In UO its just pretty and I find treasure maps easier with snow!

I really wish they would use the code from about 4-5 years ago which hued the leaves on the trees white and replaced the grass fronds and such with piles of snow (minus the ruberbanding issues that caused).

Yeah, there are tweaks I would want to see in terms of the snow-based map (i.e. no leaves on non-conifer tree models), but as of right now it's the closest we have to actual "seasons" in the game, so it makes me happy to see it each year.

Well crap, I seriously can't even play the damn game when everything is white thanks to the migraines it gives me. Is there a toggle in the classic client to turn the crap off or a line I can add to the config file to disable it? Can we for once pretend Sosaria is in the South Pacific and have a green Xmas?

Good god you lot sure can whinge and moan.... make it an olympic sport and there are some contenders for Gold in here.

I'm so happy you apparently have excellent vision.
I have diabetes since birth and poor eyesight thanks to it, hence the reason I asked for a toggle or a line to add or remove this blinding white mess. If that's moaning and whining in your book I feel sorry for you.

Snow is a fact of life. I happen to like it... even when I'm trying to tame Unicorns and I can't hardly see them as they totally blend in now.
This is the part that makes it a whine.
"The snow is hard on my eyes. Please add a toggle to make it optional."
Gets the same point across without insulting the people that have done something with good intentions for us to enjoy.

I do not have excellent vision, however a bit of white on the ground in UO isn't a problem. Web pages generally have a whole lot more white as do things like Excel and word documents....As said by someone else you come across as whiney when you go from a genuine reason to not like the snow to "this blinding white mess"I'm so happy you apparently have excellent vision.

Just did some checking around, the snow is not near as extreme as has been in the past - Thank You Devs for the change. We got snow, not the DQ blizzard
