Will the sugarplum fairy make it to legends?

I have been bouncing around from shard to shard all day today and have yet to see him on legends

Just so ya'll know it's the EM's that do the fairy so depending on their schedule is when you should expect it.
I know Faine and Fio are usually on later in the evening so that's when the fairy shows up on Origin, and will continue to do so throughout the event.
At least I got a naughty gift on Larisa, Santa got it right

The problem I have is actually FINDING the damn schedule and enough in advance to organize the time in game to meet the fairy........
WHY ON EARTH it is so difficult to be able to know on what Shard on what day and time the Fairy is supposed to show up ??????????????????????????????
I do not know others, but these days are DAMN BUSY and I have zillions of things to be able to spend countless hours in the game waiting for a Fairy to "eventually" show up "somewhere"......
I would appreciate to know it well in advance when and where they are supposed to appear so as to better handle the little time I can afford to be in the game.

they probably dont give schedule because the EMs have lives and holiday plans in RL so they cant set certain times.
Also they probably want it to be sporadic so the EM Event Item farmers cant get a couple dozen dragons on each shard so they can sell em for 100m a piece like every other EM item.

I am sorry but not having precise schedules is not acceptable, IMHO.
I just wasted an entire hour waiting for the fairy to show up as it was announced from 5 to 6pm eastern and no Fairy showed up.
Perhaps there is people more lucky than me with their time and they have plenty of it. Well, I don't, especially this time of the year in between family, friends, and work.
It is a luxury for me to spend an entire hour in the game these days and I just cannot afford to spend it all for nothing waiting for a Fairy that does not show up.
This is extremely annoying and disappointing.
I am not asking that Event Moderators spend their entire day in the game, for all I care it can even just be 30 minutes but they must be announced well in advance (several days) and then BE THERE at the accounced time.
I can understand that EMs are busy and do not have time to waste but PLEASE, also understand that there may be players who ALSO do not have time to waste away all for nothing.
So, if we can get Fairies only 30 minutes a day at least let us know WHEN and WHERE those 30 minutes will be so that players can arrange their schedules accordingly.
Of course, since there is different time zones in the world, it would help if the Fairies showed up at least for 3 major time zones per day.
Like, for example, 30 minutes in the morning, 30 minutes for lunch/early afternoon and 30 minutes in the evening. That would be 1.5 hours of EM time but covering 3 different time zones for the shard which means a wider range of players.

Trying to find this Sugar Plym Faery is like a wild goose chase. It's a busy time of year for many people and there should be some announcement as to times the faery may be around.

It really isn't that cool of an item. On Chessy it was just stuffy dragons with different colors. I went through about 18 chars only got 2 different colors.
i do like these events though, gives me a reason to log on all those dummy characters. Found a bag of 20 mil on an alt that i totally forgot about.

I have seen what Santa and his elves elsewhere, have done.
But upon the isle of misfit forgotten toys, Santa has forgotten, to come.
So wishing yall a very Merry Christmas, and a happy New Year.
Glad some of yall, have gotten some Christmas cheer,
Perhaps dear ol Santa will maybe yet, remember us,
his children, on Siege Perilous.

At the Bank in Luna there is a NPC, "Townsend the Event Announcer".
The announcer has been programned to give the following Announcement :
Well, as incredible as it may sound, THEY have set those show up times and yet, I have scrupolously made an exceptional effort to be present now at three of those indicated times over the course of these past 3 days, and trust me, it cost me a real effort because these are days DAMN busy for me and I really had to go out of my way to be online just to wait for a Fairy to "show up", and NO Fairy showed up, at none of those 3 times set by them, not me........
Now, I have been told that Event Moderators can have emergencies, problems, whatever.
Fine, I can understand that but then, if the announced times cannot be reliable, then I think the clickable Santa should just be locked somewhere so that players can get their Dragons at their best convenience.
I mean, why just frustrate players having them waste whatever precious and little time they have all for nothing ?

popps, just keep an eye on general chat. Tonight on Chesapeake, the Sugarplum Fairy joined the chat channel and give a hint: "Twinkle twinkle, little oaks..." Turned out she was at the Twin Oaks Tavern. Quite a few folks came away with their paper dragon.

I'd love for it to be that easy, just keep an eye to the Chat Channel and meet the Fairy when she shows up......
Unfortunately, the real problem, from my experience these past 3 days, is that the Fairy simply has no reliable time for showing up.......
This means, that a player wanting to meet the Fairy should be logged around the clock, 24 hours continuously, always waiting and staring at the Chat Channel in case the Fairy decides to show up......
This is the real problem for me. I simply cannot afford to be online hours upon hours to no end. These days are extremely busy for me in between work, family, friends, house etc. Unless I know a specific, certain, reliable time that the Fairy will show up and I make an extra effort to be there going out of my way and skipping other things I also need to do in real life, there is no chance that I can spend hours and hours online just in case the Fairy shows up.
The problem for me is reliabilty and certainty of the time that the Fairy shows up on my shard and, honestly, I do not understand why on earth players cannot be told a set in stone time, every day, that the Fairy WILL show up for sure on their Shard......
I can certainly look at the Chat Channel, I cannot stay logged hours upon hours to no end "just in case" the Fairy will show up. And, mind you, not because I do not want, I'd love to be able to spend more time in the game, but simply because I do not have the time available........
The best thing would be, IMHO, if the EMs just locked down a clickable Santa in Luna or at another bank so that all players could get their Dragons at their very best convenience.
I could not get to meet the Fairy for 3 consecutives days and, unless something changes in the way this Event is organized, I seriously doubt that I will be able to meet her before the Event ends. And this, simply because meeting the Fairy cannot be made easier and more reliable for players.
Go figure............

It's a gift from the EMs of their own time and effort, offered freely to us, the players.
Instead of such generosity being appreciated, it seems some folks not only expect it, but also expect it at their own personal convenience.
I'm grateful I was able to be online one of the three or four days our EM was handing out christmas presents. On our shard, we had to find the Sugarplum Fairy, and after a couple of my chars had been to the Santa dispenser, the Fairy upped sticks and went to another location. Very clever, I thought!
Look. The item is lovely, no question. However, when you consider our EMs have used their own time to distribute gifts, time in which they could have been playing UO or working or spending time with their own families or making their own holiday preparations, well, THAT means a great deal. It illustrates their devotion to the game.
That's why I find it so distasteful when folks complain about such things.

Sugarplum Fairy is Mesanna's way of thanking all of us and giving us a present for christmas. Least that is what I gathered from what I have seen. She is taking her own time and trying to hit the Britian banks or other hot spots. Don't think she goes to luna though. She does jump around the shards and probaly covers them all. The Crier's do not tell when she around around but she uses the gm chat to let all the players know who are online at times, where the fairy will be.
There will be a Santa statue near the Fairy or Mesanna, that you double click and will get one of two colors. of a Dragon Statue.
