Why is the 25th Year Vet Hildebrandt Reward Shield not spell channeling?

My oldest account hit 300 months a few days ago and I picked the shield. Not spell channeling which is kind of a bummer. It sure would be nice if it was. Maybe just an oversight and something they might fix?

Ya it is a Transmog target. So you can make it spell channeling or whatever.

No-Name Legendary Artifact Shields (which don't spawn anymore) are basically the only thing worth transmogging onto a Hildebrandt Shield.

When you transmog something it takes all the stats of the target, including weight requirement.
It keeps the special from the Hildebrandt Shield.

No-Name Legendary Artifact Shields (which don't spawn anymore) are basically the only thing worth transmogging onto a Hildebrandt Shield.

Why if I have 20 choices and want to buy 5 shields I could use any I want. If I had a 25 year old account I would most likely put the Roof Mage shield or a Hooks shield on one.

Oh congrats, you can turn the shield you are using into it. It keeps the special. I did not realize we could already get them. Post a pic of it on with you riding your Polar Bear.

Explain please. If they put out an item with useful stats that only a 25 yr vet could equip, the players would go crazy. I think it is perfect to show you have 25 years.

The server could easily add some kind of graphic to show account age to other players...aside from the Titles already in existence..we've never really needed a wasted vet reward pick to show that....

It looks pretty cool. IMO. Specifically about the OP, they are still riding the 9 yr polar bear the got at 9 years when only 9 yr players could ride them. So in this case the OP likes things that show the account age.

They also add a new Title in the menu, which I doubt few of us know what year is what title. We do get a freebie.

  • Valid destination target for transmogrification potions
  • Invalid origin target for transmogrification
  • Can be dyed with metallic and promotional dyes
  • Can be repaired via blacksmithy
  • Will display an informative gump when double clicked
  • 25 Year

I need to look at the Ossein ram and Lion statues. Might pick one of those.

The statues are cool

the shield imho is very play mobilish / mindcraft looking
They should have used a tear kite shield and modified it into a dragon with horns
May oldest account started was in 99
But my oldest 3 accounts are 18 years (lost the info on my 99 account but was to reactive it a few years later)
I would pick the shield if I could but I would only put it on a vendor to display it the art isn’t that nice on this item just like the 25th wall shields look like an intestate sign
And the title sound like a campaign badge as well. I just feel like those that have kept their accounts active for 25 years should have gotten far better quality items

also to make it account bond is more a slap in the face to me you can’t trade it or give it to another account or friend wtf. So all other vet rewards you can trade but not this one lol seems more like a punishment than a reward. 25 years I get to claim the newest item but can’t trade it ? Thanks

If you transmog it with a self-repair shield (Hephaestus), will the self-repair property transfer too?

I think the people that have 25 year old chars should get a special beard or a special loin cloth that says have not been washed or changed in 25 years lol

Or does Hildebrandt Shield properties transfer to the current shield? If I’m able to transfer my current shield properties to the Hildebrandt Shield does that wipe the flamestrike reward abilities? Which properties switch where and what if any properties cancel out or dont transfer? I’m clueless

In your backpack, have these 3 items.

Have the good shield you want to use as a target. The blank shield or Hildebrandt will be the Destination.
And a potion. Dbl clk the potion.

A window will appear telling you to choose a destination and target.


Click the Set Source object arrow. Click your shield that has properties you like.
It will go up in that gump.

Then Click the Set Destination object, Click your blank shield, orb, the items from wildfire vendor. or Hildebrandt shield.
It will go up there.

Press convert and accept, it will put the properties of the source shield onto the Hildebrandt shield.
It will keep the fireball property on the new shield.

Then you can dye it with any dye that a metal shield can use. Or leave as is.

With a Robe potion you can turn a Hawkwind robe into a parrot, it keeps the self repair.
