There is always a argument about how the forums only get some of the peoples opinions... I think it would be rather simple to apply a gump like the vet reward menu with random weekly polls or something so the Devs could get REAL feedback from each paying subscription... obviously only active accounts could vote and 1 vote per account. That way sure people with more accounts get more votes but they deserve it they are paying more. We could still use the forums to come up with the questions to be asked in game but at least then we could finely put to rest some of the big questions form a real number base. If they didn't care to give us real numbers on feedback at leas they could give us %s and UO might finely come out on top again if they listened to the player base a bit more.

The questions could be simple things to complex things. Anything form "Is X over powered?" to "Do you think EMs should have the ability to squelch or jail disrespectful people at events?"

UO is old enough I think it could finely use REAL feedback form the whole player base.

I'm inclined to agree with this, I don't always have time to visit the forums to find out about polls and discussions.

I think this would be a wonderful idea, they could even add a link to the bottom to UHall (now that EA has made stratics the official forums of UO) and we could get some real traffic going on here

Only if there is an option for the player to disable the feature. I'd participate, but like the vet-reward gump many use UO-Assist to get around, this could end up an irritant after a while. I'd hate to see irritated players hitting any old answer without reading it just to get past it and on to the game! I'm not sure I'd trust the data otherwise. Make sure it is voluntary participation please.

There is one. Granted, it's been a LONG while since they've used it, but I can remember several times them having questions pop up on log in.

They are afraid of the truth. Plus there are a number of things that the majority would like that would completely alienate the minority. Simple majorities don't always make the best aproaches to problems.

I bet some people would activate their accounts just to have more votes.

I'm not saying this is a bad thing.

I'm not saying it's a bad idea. I'm just skeptical of how many people would faithfully respond to the poll, which negates the fair-and-true purposes of it. I think if those people wanted to be heard, chances are they'd already be on the forums.

You've got to consider that, right or wrong, there are people that will not come here. They have their reasons, and that has to be respected.

You've also got to consider that there is still no *OFFICIAL* mark on Stratics being the only voice of EA/Mythic - I think the general concensus is that that fact is obvious, but until the stamp is there, you cannot fault people for not using it as a medium to contact the Dev team.

I'm not blaming anyone. I'm just saying you won't get everyone involved; most likely the very people you're trying to reach won't bother.
