Why does Healing Stone affected by the Heal pots timer?

As a mystic, its one of 2 spells you can heal with, you already have to cast it and use an item to heal...why have it linked to the heal pots timer too?? Although you get a different msg after you chug a GH pot then try to use a Healing Stone and vice versa, Healing Stone is acting like a glorified GH pot. Is this intended???

Well.. If healing stone didn't benefit from the Enhance potions property then I'd say let you use both independantly... but since it does I think it's fine as is..

Actually its not affected by EP. On TC, at 120 Mystic/Focus, you heal for 30-35 dmg with Healing Stone. Without EP, a GH pot heals for 20-25, and with 50% EP, a GH heals for 30-35 (same as the Healing Stone). When I used Healing Stone with and without EP, it always healed the same. The only thing that made a difference was how much Focus skill you had. At 20 Focus (JOAT) it healed for 20-25.

healing stones really dont need a timer! the most you can carry is 1 and then you have to cast the spell to create another stone then you have to use the stone! the only way to get around this is to cast spell trigger and select healing stone !so then the max is 2 period! and there is still a delay before you can use another ! and tthen that makes the spell trigger have a 270 second delay before you can use it again!

take that delay off and i see those things getting abused pretty quickly

Imo you dont really need a timer on using consecutive healing stones, only using healing potions after a healing stone. You can use healing stones as much as you want, but not healing potions until 10 seconds after you have used a stone...?? makes sense at all??

Heal and Greater Heal spells need ten second timers added, in that case. After all, they're being abused.
Don't be a smart ass, the heal stone stacked with magery or healing etc etc and pots and the like would make it pretty hard to do enough damage fast enough to beat the speed of the players healing. If you run a straight mystic and you only heal with mystic, i would suggest building a different temp because i would destroy you.. Trust me i played with this alot, magery heals, and throwing this and pots in was pretty killer (setup a fricken macro to use item when you are in dire need) if you could stack the heal stone/gheal with magery, and a 50ep heal pot you would heal around 100-120 damage damn near instantly.

I don't see a reason for that timer either. Nobody prevents you from using bandages, potions and the Greater Heal spell at the same time. Why should the Healing Stone be any different?

Anyway, Mysticism will receive an overhaul anyway. I suggest we continue with this discussion after the next patch.

Right no one prevents you from using bandages while drinking pots and gheals, but a pot has a timer, a bandage has a timer, and a gheal doesn't have either, other than it is disruptable. They all have something that effects it, heck, id run a healing mage in a heart beat if it wouldn't take 15 secs + for the bandage to go off.

Long story short it needs a timer or needs to be somehow disruptable, and because it is an item after you cast and and use it later on, it cannot be disruptable.


and btw, do you think he really meant heals and gheals need a timer? that was a smartass comment

Agree with this, as long as you cannot chain the 2 together consecutively i see no problem with it not having a timer. slamming the two together would be an instant 60-70 heal restored with items followed by any bandages, gheal, mini heal, chiv heal,etc etc etc etc

Healing Stone has a timer too. You can't put 20 healing stones in your backpack and just use them. You have to recast the spell. Which takes even longer than casting Greater Heal.

You confuse the timer on the healing effect itself with preventing using different healing methods simultaneously.

I would appreciate that, i have worked with mysticism and this healing stone, i know you have to recast it and can only have 1. That being said, you can only cast gift of renewal with a spell weaver once with a cooldown as well.

Anywho, In my testing with it, i can verify it can basically be a one time quick use heal pot, and if you could use it and heal pots simultaneously, it would lead to issues. Do you pvp and no the possible effects of this? This what i'm referring to in case you were wondering.

Bandages sure do reveal you on use.

This timer thing has too many restrictions.
You already have to cast it (cast timer), then you have to actually use it. Let's not forget that if you have a shield, you have to disarm first. And then you have to wait out a timer?? Too much of a nuisance to use it.

I can't get spell trigger to work anymore since a few patches back (I use EC), so I can't test the consequences of this. I would think it's a one shot deal in a real situation.
