Why do mage's have to stop to cast?

I would like to be able to move while casting.. it seems to me that maybe they should invoke a hit chance roll for mages if they move..

I'll bet even at 45% SDI an archer is still going to outdamage you.
Well the whole thing is, the dexxer is different now then the archer, this was all screwed up when AoS came out, and other expansions that followed. Its because now you can get heavy hitting weapons to swing or shoot at almost max swing rate. The Katana and Kryss use to be the speed weapons and did a fair amount of damage,now we have bows and axes that can be swung as fast as them and they do more damage. The kat and kryss do minimal damage now also. They need to change things back some how.

Maybe make it so healing speeds are faster at lower dex and then base weapon speed off of dex instead of stamina, then lower the str int and dex cap back down to 125. Or leave the weapon speed to use stamina and cap it at 150. Thing is no one likes caps.

As far an archer out damaging me at 45% sdi depends if your talking pvm or pvp, in pvm its hard to say because I could have 2 EVs up doing damage and then me shooting spells at it, and am I a pure mage or have other spells and what not, mages can do alot more then a warrior because of the low skill cost and are more flexable to get other skills.

This is what's bad about all kinds of gear mods. It moves a game from "not quite balanced" to "no chance of balanced." It becomes less a matter of what's overpowered and more a matter of what's overpowered right now, until nerfed in favor of something else.

Cool, diverse, new evolution and good for the game do not necessarily go hand in hand, and I think that point is lost on the people who repeat the "has to change, things have to progress" mantra.
