Don't you have to pay vendor fees though? I freaking HATE vendor fees. I've had one vendor in 12 years, and I'm still mad about it.
Does that really happen? I'm there all the time, and there is all sorts of interesting crap, but I thought it was just spawn dealing with that Sutek mission.

( I've often felt that there should be a cap on "liquid wealth" that eventually forces people to create a token currency if they want higher levels of wealth, but vendor repositories kind of throw that idea out the window )
Yup, you can get a good overview of what people are up to by going to the cavern. It's funny to watch it fill up with crafted goods when someone is training-and-dumping.
( I remember this being posted in the old ideas den a few times ... there are a lot of things in SA that are close to ideas that were tossed out into stratics over the past few years )

Ok I just have to ask.. Why the hell would a vendor fee in your situation even bother you? Do you absolutely need every cent of your multibillion check collection? Or is it just an OCD thing? I don't mean to sound insulting or rude but I'm just totally curious as to why you would even be bothered by it.

I don't think you're rude. I think you're right about what you're saying too.
I see people all the time put an item on a vendor for 20-100 million that they will never sell. You should compute those vendor fees per day sometime on say 20 million, then you'd see what I'm saying.
I just won't knowingly waste gold or money in real life. It is ridiculous for me to kill the vampire bat in front of one of my houses in Malas and loot him though, but I do that several times a week.

I came all the way back down here from upstairs because this points out how cheap I really am. We're talking about storing billions on a vendor. You said its 20 gold per day, and my actual thought was "Is that a uo day, or a real life day?"

I read in another thread that in order be able to store those extra checks in your limited storage house, you have to head to the Zento moongate (Baja shard) and turn east. Deposit 125 1 million checks into the multi-colored gift box on the steps.. issue solved!
If you still have a storage issue, repeat procedure in 24 hours.
Only problem is he and his site isn't always right, and detract from more credible sites like Stratics. For example, a vendor costs 60 gp per day. But who cares about stuff being right on the Internet?
Details details.... It is 60 tho.
Back to the original topic - at least give us 5 mil checks.
I'm really surprised the 'OMG what about the dupers?' posters have not arrived yet.
Personally I'd prefer our banks held gold in a NUMBER on the bank box and not in stacks of gold and checks. If you want money you say 'withdraw' or 'check xxxx' and it appears in your pack. It would be SO much easier to count it all (instead of having to use the housing tool) and it could be a much higher number.
While they are at it - I wish tokens would stack. I have several hundred heritage tokens that are a pain to store.

I hold all my gold on vendors its handy, and i always know how much i got!, use have multipule accounts so it works!

Just buy another keep. Why waste 20/60 gp per day when you can invest in real estate? What would cause the value of a keep to decrease?

There is duping...and then there is duping. Vesper was the perfect place though right?
Declining population. Even keeps depreciate in value, sadly. And you can't just keep buying real estate or you'll end up with lots of extra accounts to pay for.
Vendor gold storage is nice, but don't put your eggs all in one basket. I have heard enough horror stories of people losing vendors to spread my gold out between a bunch of em.
I wish I would share your problem.
Sell it to the retreads that flooded your shard for real cash. Soooo the lazy ones can buy it and return it to you by buying your goods. And if the retreads are not interested in your gold thhhhhhhen you've found the problem with the games economy, and they are really just yellow pixels.

You have a plethora of checks. Need to buy a keep for them and have a hatred toward vendor fees.
Something is wrong here.
Get vendor. Load on the checks by purchasing bods. Remove vendor stock. You will be charge 60 gold a day.
If you cant swing that let me know.... jk
This is the issue you all should be worried about. people have stopped complaining about the dupers because they know theirs no point anymore.
It's now common place for people to be asking what to do because they have reached lock down limit with checks at their houses.

How quick 1mill checks can be made these days, a sorry state of affairs.
The damage to the economy has been done and we all know it can't be fixed. 1mill checks are just annoyances for the rich.
In my opinion they should delete ALL gold from the game and start again(after fixing the dupes first).

Ok, maybe it's my lack of sleep or my natural gullibility, but can someone explain this to me? Is there a really a room where people's random junk goes to when they trash it? Because if there is, that is something I have to see.

If you have this much then why would you complain about using vendors to store it at 60 gp per real day.
How did you get this much?
Now that..... is the most intelligent post yet.... This would solve a ton of issues including the stable masters not being able to 'withdraw" the 30 gold from your bank if it's in check form...
Infact I wish all NPC's could withdraw directly from your bank.... and having the money always in a number rather than a check in the bank box would solve space issues too.

Its like this, If I am going to make Counterfeit Money, WHY in the hell would I make $1's, when I can make 50's and 100's????
It dosent make sense.
Duping is for Large priced items, simple as that.
But remember when most of the gold dupes were out, 1mill checks were worth something and could be easily 'laundered' buy using them to purchace an arty or something off an innocent seller.
Hense the price starts raising and we come to where we are now.

I agree with the OP, I think they should implement some kind of item like a money clip, checkbook or wallet/purse that can hold up to mabey 10 (?) 1m checks as one item.

To tag on. You do realize that the 1 million gold checks made it easy for the dupe that wrecked the economy.
If you make 100 million get checks, the next dupe will dupe them.
Checks are the worst addition to the game. Part of managing a game is making assumptions.
People will hack... what are some ways to limit damage.
WELL DONT give players the ability to hold over 700 million gold between bank, pack, and packies.
That was silly to do.

Buy some of those new rewards that just came out. Those seem to be a lot more useful and fun than checks sitting around the house and bank. SERIOUSLY... do you need that much gold???
Help out the UP economy spend some of it, or not. I really doubt they are going to ever allow players to write bigger checks. IMHO...

I see no difference a person that can dupe 1mil 100mil checks compare to a person who can dupe 500k 100k 1k checks. It's a dupe eventualy they will dupe of course it's better to just dupe high price items and sell it The solution is just to make sure the code doesn't allow for dupe and to close it as soon as it's found out.

Of course he needs that much. How else he gonna buy the next big thing that comes out or a castle or a luna plot if they sell it for gold or those new vet rewards. It's always good to have plenty of gold so you never become poor and need to start from scratch unless thats the intention.

You got it. Buy homes or place them for cheap. Cross shard transfers, buy high priced rares and sell them to collecters for more. Buy high price items from venders on one shard for cheap and sell the bulk at a increase cost on a more expensive shard etc.. Shhh don't tell nobody
