When I mine ingots drop to the ground! Happens enough that I am always looking for dropped ingots any idea why this happens? I am using the 2D client, fire beetle and tinker made shovels. This char has read the books for mining...

Are you using UOAssist? I know you said mining ingots, but you mine ore and smelt ingots. Did you mean mining ore? There is a feature with UOA to stack ore on the ground... you can turn this off if that is what is happening.
I think you are right he meant "ore" instead of ingots..Actually this UO feature is not that bad especially when mining in fel where you quickly become overweight..let the normal ore stack and then smelt them right from the ground
