When Exactly is the game anniversary ?

I was talked into pre-ordering UO ( Dad we just got to have this game! ) by my son many years ago. He grew up and moved on , but I never could.

So... I have played this game from the first day it went live online.

Now about 2 weeks ago all my characters in game started receiving the
"You have Rewards available gump " when I log in.

When I look on the paper doll profile it says :
" This account is 168 months old".

So wouldn't this mean that the game anniversary would fall in July and not September.

Most of my chars ages list them older than they are by a month or two. Not sure why and never really thought much about it.

I think in the early days, they tacked on the beta period to the account age. Thus the accounts always appeared three months older than they truly were. Just my speculation however.

Back a good many years ago the then Dev added 2 months to our reward month count.
The game officialy opened in September of 1997, I beleave it was because many of us antiques started in Beta that they added the extra months to the rewards program.

This was shortly after vet rewards were introduced if I remember correctly

Ultima Online went live September 24, 1997

Ultima itself was released September 2, 1980

Akalabeth and beta versions of Ultima were floating around SUNY comp labs as early as 1978 I think.. (tries to remember a million years ago)

The date they always celebrate as the birthday is 25th September. The reason I remember it so well is that it was also my father's birthday
