whats with the new forced login?

somehow i lost my auto login over the weekend.
anyhow when i clicked login in top right it only gave me the option to login with 3 choices
facebook, twitter, steam

i had no option to login with my stratics login.
i ended up clicking a users name to go to their profile and then i got an option to login with my stratics login.
is this a bug?

George surprised us yesterday with a DNS change, which reset everyone's automatic login. When I log out, this is the login option that I see:



If anyone sees anything different (e.g., if you cannot see the "Your name/email" field"), please post a screenshot below and I'll try to troubleshoot.

thankfully after the 2nd refresh, it remembered read threads/posts - very smart board

sorry about the post - initially i didnt see the login button at the bottom.
i came back to do a screen shot and then saw that the login button was down there at the bottom as shown in your screen shot. my mistake

It could very well have been a glitch. Who knows. Anyway, I'm glad it's working now.

The big problem with the login on Stratics is that it isn't over an HTTPS connection...

Umm? Nor do most forum communities, nor has Stratics ever, nor does any other UO fansite, nor do most people who access other social networking sites......

Best thing I can tell you is (a) don't use the same e-mail and password for Stratics that you use for your UO or bank account (read: who the hell would do this?), and/or (b) don't login using unsecure connections.
