Whats up with pumpkins and jacks spawning weirdly?

I just did a run of all the fields (fel and tram) and most had like 5 to 6 pumpkins or jacks on them. First off I thought the spawn was turned off but it seems like it was just slowed to a trickle. Secondly, it was three names over and over and over. No other names, just those three so what do you have to do to get your name to spawn. There must have been a few hundred pumpkins spread over the patches (some patches had a full complement of pumpkins) and I only ever saw three names. I cleaned up two of the higher spawned patches and they respawned four pumpkins between them at a super slow rate. Every single one was the same name and it was one of the three... very very strange. I collected like 5 jacks. I guess this means keep checking the patches until it is completely turned off and if anyone figures out what you have to do to get your name to spawn, please let the rest of us know

I believe this has been answered in part in another thread,I am not sure which one.It says some may not have closed their client and are still running from before the event was turned off. This way they can still trick or treat for the "rare" items and the rare metalic clothing.

Far as I know the pumpkin patch has officially ended, but those with a client that hasn't patched (restarted) have not had the trick or treat event end for them. There was mention of it in this thread: http://vboards.stratics.com/uhall/228037-trick-treat.html

Check your shard/trade forums... many shards banded together and have saved player's pumpkins to give to them... you might get lucky.

LOL I'm one of the band... I have three vendors in luna set up and completely filled with jacks at 2 gold per so people can locate them and hopefully take theirs home

I had heard about peeps not closing the game down and still doing the trick or treat, but I would have thought the patches would still not work since it is a spawn that should be on server side and not player side so shouldn't be able to force it. Ah well, guess I should have never closed down and maybe I could have gotten a Living Dead Girl jack finally
