What's the best route for Doom?

I'm just curious what all of you consider the best pet/skill set up for doom is? I just came back to the game and am looking to grind out some doom runs, but I don't know what pet or training route I should go. I'd love some ideas.

Doom was revamped, DF is a pita.. have not found a pet temp that can handle Doom without a few other folks.

Was it revamped after Stygian Abyss? I used to be able to solo the Gauntlet with my Mystic RCs.

I think a Frost Dragon might do really well based on what I remember of the resists and attacks. It would do a pretty good job of sweeping up abyssmal horrors, I would imagine. A 5-slot Cu might, too.

The DF might require a bit of running and "cleaning up" of the spawn unless you are really good at bone cutting, but if the DF does target switching now like Lady Melisande and other bosses, then I could see that being rough.

Yeah, they revamped it not too long ago really. At the same time Scholar's Halo hit. A 5 slot Cu goes through the rooms with relative ease.. ya can't "run and clean up" any more. DF not only switches targets he also keeps rubber banding back to a small area once you drag him too far... and I will not "spoil" any of the other stuff but compared to what the DF is now... the old DF was a noob.

:/ unless those artifact recipes are worth pursuing it seems like they made it too difficult for what it is worth, then...I remember when it was nice just to get DF loot because it was pretty decent

I'm new to the whole tamer patch, so I don't even know if I can put these skills all on the Cu that I'm training. I was thinking of putting Spell weaving/ explosive goo/ and AI on it for running doom. Or I was thinking about maybe adding necromancy on it instead of the weaving. I dunno, so many options and I don't want to pick wrong lol.

Yeah, doom does seem a lot tougher. Although on ATL there seems to be people there a decent amount. It can get hairy, but still fun.

One easy question to answer! You can't put necromancy on a CU.

Yeah.. the new artis are still selling pretty high. Last I checked Scholars Halo was 150+ and Gloves of Feudal Grip were up there as well.
