Hey all,

Is there anyway with UOAssist or another legal add-on to get a listing of what is in your house secure containers, lockdowns or personal backpack that you can then put into a external program (Spreadsheet or word etc). Wanting to make a list of all the collectables i have - 1000's of items all messed up - Just looking for the best way to sort them out.

Thanks

Fizz

UOA - you need to (hopefully) be able to place that container in your backpack. it must meet the item count/weight restrictions of your character.

Go to the Agents tab, set agent type to Vendor Agent. Set the Vendor Agent bag to target the container. Now open the container and then click the More information button in UOA.

Right click and get the container inventory into the white window. Now you can select the data in the window and copy it (to Windows clipboard). Open Notepad or Word or something and PASTE into the app. There's the list of that container.

This is off the top of my head as I can't login right now ... getting "problem ciommunicating ... " message. <sigh>

Adding more to this ... sorting things - nasty laborious work. The best way I found of keeping things tracked is to setup some chests. I used various colors of paragon ones. A good supply of backpacks, some dyes and leather engraving tools would be in order. Get some blank books as well.

I started sorting items ... macing here, fencing there, swords over yonder. All into packs laid out on the floor, not more than 30 or 40 per pack. During the sorting if I wasn't going to keep it, I dropped it into packs for smelting, newbie gifting, sale.

End result ... Paragon chests still pristinely unengraved, but marked with a book inside as to a chest #. Each pack in the chest is uniquely colored based on contents, also engraved with the contents: Macing - Power, Macing #1, Macing Neon, etc. Pick a color for macing items ... all packs with macing items get colored the same. All Archery are a different color, etc.

I then used UOA Vendor agent to catalog each pack inside the chest into a spreadsheet with the chest designation as well. This took a bit as UOA simply logs the mods on the item so arranging columns for all DCI in the same one took a bit.

Now I could look at it whichever way I want to. Eventually I built a database application and simply imported the XLS into that. Somewhat ummmm, "retentive" but I had no problem locating things.

Ah soooooo much work but sooooooo smart lol I think this is a great idea but I wish there was something added to the house sign to help me. That just shows the "lazy" in me. I also wish there was a way to put EVERYTHING in the house in the moving crate instead of having to put walls all over hell and back to force the stuff in the crate. Just my two cents.

...

I find grid view in the Enhanced Client to do very well... let's me have a single container for ingots, wood, cloth, reagents and whatnot with needing the extra bags inside, nicely organized, AND you can see how much in each stack.

While it isn't an "at a glance" feature for the entire house, it's nice nonetheless.
