What you are doing in UO at the moment?

Iam opening this thread maybe you have cool ideas what todo in Ultima Online these days?

My friends and i have a problem with UO because of the lack of content.

The thing is we have killed any bosses of UO, we dont want to repeat because there is nothing to get from, no good item, not enough gold, no resources nothing.

Champ Spawns are all done and here the same the droprate of the so called replicas is not 30% it is too low like 2% for all people doing the spawn, another aspect why it is useless is 90% of the replicas are useless. Also here no really clue to do it.

So what todo next, gardening -> rised garden beds -> no good income of seeds anymore and booring.

Hmm PvP maybe, but 80% of the day there are no people to play with and the other time you got problems with lagging players (EC), mirror images of players (EC) and last but not least crashes (EC). So after sitting 5h in Despice you are moving a bit and crash and die because 5 people came in.

New event content, very hard to kill, but the loot is more than bad, no artefacts, no resources, nothing really usefull, the only thing for what that event is to destroy your equipment, very bad

Overall Ultima Online in general is very booring at the moment, iam the only one, what you are doing the day in UO?

Atm? Training a new mage-fisher-scribe on a new shard. (Mainly for personal reasons. My main chars are splitted among two accounts. I mostly play only 7 of my chars, so I could close one acc and merge/rebuild the active chars on an other server. Only that i am a slow player and really need a long time for the preparations for such an action.)

Hmmm what am I doing... well here is a list of my activitys this last weekend.

Origin - Sorted bods, made kits for son's character to 120 tailoring and getting her ready to move to other shard as help for him there. Sorted rune books and made 3 more books for the library. Fed the fish and watered the plants.. went hunting for box of items we shipped in for muesum ... lost it?? no it was in the museum all the time in the to be displayed boxs!

Napa - Went fishing up sos's...made 2 mill and got more crab and lobster for other fisher's quests (yes 2 gm fishers) Made items for vendors and planted more flowers and plants for sale and my use. Watered and fed my fish... great way for that extra mib. Unraveled the junk from the chests and gained on imbuer, filled vendors and started to make kegs of potions, collected resources for various other uses and moved to next shard for next work load.

Atlantic- Took new tamer and her mare for a jaunt and gained skill points, did some shopping and helped a guild mate by loring a critter he couldnt kill... then termur wisps are tough to kill... Helped son shop and deco 2 new houses we droped in.

Catskills- Took my 120 tamer out for a spin and see what trouble I could get into..., Did some packing up of things for a move son forgot to take with him and the stuff for Traveler to take on his shard hops back to Origin via other shards where he will drop off and pick up things needed.

Siege P.- Sorting tons of things and finally finished my towers deco, planted flowers and seeds on roof... after I just cleaned it up- I mess it !!!! Got mini tower clean and redecoed with usefull things, next project is the villa !

Oceania - Fed and watered the fish and plants... went shopping and got some neat stuff, went hunting for junk for imbuer to gain off and had fun doing it. (what can I say I enjoy hunting critters), Finally got all the castles keeps towers and big houses striped down and started my spring /summer deco project... face lift!! It's where I refloor and wall cover everything and add in the new furni, rares and em event items for effect. I'm gunna be on this one like the 405 freeway crew! thats 10 of the 14 houses there!

Sorry there wasnt more... I was a bit lazy this weekend .. went to see Harry Potter with the kids!

I do have projects going on Sonoma,Baja,Pac,Chessy,and Hokuto but ill save them for next week...
Fish hunt explore go find a friend and do something crazy like make a few new friends....

Bored is what you make yourself when you forget how to imagine nd get inspired to move..

Got tired of the other shards a while back and decided to try Siege instead of just calling it quits for UO. Fell in love with Siege and am having a great time there. Maxed out my peace tamer's skills and my miner/LJ's skills in less than two months, bought a bunch of soulstones and went to town on all the crafting skills and finished the crafter in less than three months. Now I'm working on three more characters. I don't PvP at all unless I'm literally forced into it and then it's anyone's guess as to how it will end up. I spend a lot of my time crafting for friends, guildmates and to keep my Zento shop stocked; gathering resources for the crafter; making gold through PvM to buy more power and stat scrolls; helping out a bit with the NEW guild; and growing tons of plants. Next on the agenda are taking up fishing; training and juggling skills to try out treasure hunting; and figuring out which character should train up poisoning skill. After that, I just might decide to try some PvP....

I am quite serious about this. If not this crew, then perhaps another. I will see if the OP really is up for a new challenge.

That is why Siege needs to survive. When folks hit that wall... A change that is just a twist, not an entirely different system is often the answer.

And no matter what anyone says... Siege is not a PvP shard. There is no such thing. Siege is what it is. Many play Siege and never "PvP". They might defend themselves... That is another story.

I started on Siege recently. I wanted a little more of a challenge without all of the overpowered templates/items that I have on other shards. I insisted on doing it the hard way and only accepted minimal help in getting started (there's something fun about killing mobs to fill your spellbook - but I have to Thank Petra for giving me the level 8 spells).

It brought back a lot of fond memories of bygone days and showed me what a tight knit community where everyone really knows everyone else can be like.

Atlantic will always be home for me, but the Siege community is certainly worth spending time with.

Life on Siege, believe it or not, is simpler. Yes you can go all out for uber gear, but you can also just pick up a crafter made suit and do very nicely. Things wear out, things get looted, so there's a constant demand that needs to be supplied.

Everyone has at least one spare suit. Fishing rods, hatchets, all wear out and have to be replaced. And surprising as it may seem, the general chat is actually full of general chat.

oh, what am I doing? Well, I'm fishing, but I'd rather not say where right now. There's pirates on this shard that aren't controlled by EA's AI and they scuttle boats if you're indiscrete about your location

Never seen anyone put it that way before. Out of curiosity Kelmo what guild do you belong to? I have not played siege in a very long time....Might consider trying to convince my small group to go at it, I enjoy replaying the game anyhow, just recently restarted playing on atl, when I say restarted I mean all new characters with no help (brings the fun back a little when you have to work for things.)

When I started there I was determined the char would make it on her own. She joined NEW, but the only thing I asked from them was help getting a fire beetle. You can't buy skills, you can't sell to npcs. But there's a hell of a feeling of achievement when you succeed that can't be matched by doing things the easy way.

I'm helping returning players with gear constantly it seems, but I love doing it. Right now I'm working on a nerve strike dexer PvP template and suit, with 120 med. I also like to get Medusa keys and do the Ilshenar champ spawns whenever I can. Those things alone keep me really busy.

I'm also getting used to some new macros on my newly suited and scrolled up stealther/deathstriker. I'm also running around scouting IDOC's today. UO never gets boring for me :]

I haven't played as much as I use to since my Dad passed away on Feb 12th, and having to go to his funeral a day before my birthday. Then on March 1st my brother passed away. So I spend more time with my mom cuz she misses my dad, and brother so we sit outside enjoy the fresh air alot . but I have worked on decorating, SOSs, fishing and doing the fishing quests 1 or 2 a night.

My fisherman is making rounds through the various quest stop locations working the fishing quests, building up and fetching SoSs (thanks to the insane easiness of adding them to the EC Atlas in Pinco's UI)

I have 4 characters getting BODs at least once an evening, more if the timeframe allows

My melee character has been making Hyth runs to collect junk classic (BOD based) metal items

My miner/smith has been mining in Fel taking advantage of safe locations and double resources and combining the junk metal items into junk BODs, smelting the extra items and using that metal to fill the Exc. Iron deeds for a mass turnin/repull

Every week to 10 days I pull the resources from my stump and ore carts (which tends to take a bit of time considering there are 22 carts)

Me, heh, I was just named co-co-leader to my new guild and its my job to keep everyone doing spawns and peerless. I have been organizing players into roles training up newer players to be able to do some of this content and gathering keys. I know its old stuff for some but when ya get a new group mixed with vets that cant be bothered this stuff can really bring everyone together!

Aside from that I just finished re making my bard and as always the bard is a lot of fun!

Don't look for 'become better', don't look for 'good income', instead look for 'fun to do'. I once spent ages herding a dragon from chaos all the way around Ilsh to Valor, didn't get a single item or gold piece, but I enjoyed doing it and wrote it up as a guide on herding for the site.

Well for myself, Summer time is probably the most boring of time
in UO ever, every summer cuz people get rl outdoorsy
and we see less folks IN game than most seasons.

Sooooooooooooo since where I rl live hell hot and humid,
summer time is hibernation time down here.
Aside from some rl outdoorsy gardening,
I try to get into UO to stay in the air conditioning
more so in summer, than the rest of the year.

But LESS folks are in UO in summer time...zzzzzz
thus all those smith bods been sitting on 2 shards
for forever, undone.
I am finally DOING all my smith bods, on both Ches. and Siege alike.

I also found to my surprise, somewhere to mine saltpeter on Siege.

I had not even tried to mine salt peter so had no clue,
what that enormous big golden rock was that I mined up.
I moused over it and it said something bout salt peter. GASP !

Now I seem addicted to this weirdo spot
tryin to mine up more salt peter on Siege.

I must replicate [if I can] to do same on Chesapeake in same area,
but the area is quite different per shard so,
it may be just on Siege where this find
of salt peter find, can happen/be found.

Back to trying to earn my first val hammer. 3 of 7 to go BODs, and nothing in the last 18 months. I like to keep the BS meter pegged rotating few hundered BODs and still no closer to a val hammer. Mind you I like the odds and untill I have a vender with a handfull of val hammers to sell, not really going to pay UO much attention.


OH GG for fishing when I remember. Got lucky on getting a 120 PS so kinda took the wind out of those grind sails.
