What wood should I use to Enhance this Heavy?

Looking for advise.. I'm not sure what would be better for this Heavy.. Ash or Yew.

Heavy Crossbow
Hit Mana Leech 43%
Hit Lower Defense 44%
Hit Chance Inc 13%
Swing Speed 30%
Damage Inc 42%

Anyone have a copy of the swing speed chart? I bet that would help me decide...:) Thanks in advance for the help.

I bet it does break.... but I sure hope it doesn't!!

My general rule of thumb has been use ash since HCI can always be on jewels. I'm just not sure how much of a boost the extra 10% SS would give.

1/2 a second of swing speed...Right now it's really a 3.5s Swing Speed with the 30%SSI adding another 10% will drop that a bit more to about 3s.

if i am not to late...Yew.

10 more extra damage is nice, but not critical
the real kicker is the extra 5hci. with 18hci, you can easily hit the 45hci without wearing any arties.

an extra 10% on a heavy is nice, but really heavies are not made for getting a kill shot because even at 120 dex and 40ssi mages and necros can get a heal off in between your shots. I would go with Yew on this one. If it had been a compositie, i would have answered Ash

noo, definitely ash! xD
what is your reasonsing Shak? not saying your wrong, just want to know what you think that extra .25 seconds is going to buy you?

ohh, and T'sai...swing speed on it will look like this

at 30ssi:
120 stamina: ~3.25 seconds
90 stamina: ~3.5 seconds

at 40ssi:
120 stamina: ~3 seconds
90 stamina: ~3.25 seconds

contrary to the post above, you only gain 1/4 second per 10 ssi

EITHER WAY, Yew or Ash...I will buy it if it lives :)

i value the extra tick more than the extra hci/dci. look at it liket hat. hci is very easy to cap out as it is, the extra tick will give you more damage over time than the damage increase (which you can still get over items). and yes there are also ssi items, but they are all crapy and hard to get.

I can understand that...but I also realize that running it with the extra SSI is probably going to cost you more in the long run that with extra HCI, because you will have to wear better jewels and possibly arties to max out the HCI...which cost more to get your hands on.

If this was going to be my main weapon, i would certainly go with HCI...ESPECIALLyY as a dismount weapon.

Thanks everyone - I appreciate all the feedback. I haven't tried to enhance it yet, that's usually a weekend activity for me. I wait til it's late.. I'm tired.. bored.. slightly impaired and have questionable judgement.. music playin'.. and when it feels right - go for it!

If it crumbles... I wallow in sorrow and get more impaired..:(

If it survives... I celebrate and get more impaired...:)

Man... Enhancing things makes for tough Sunday mornings.

Krystal,

I would say that if you always wear the right kind of equipment that gets you up to 45HCI, then I ABSOLUTELY agree with you. However, if you are swinging fast and not hitting anything then your just wasting your time. You need to hit and to do that with alot of players it takes 45HCI.

So really the bottom line is this: Consider what equipment you can get ahold of easily and consistently. Then make your determination on ash vs yew.

Swinging fast and hitting nothing isn't going to do much good

I disagree I think most of the people interested in this bow are wanting the SSI So I say enhance with what makes the customer happy and with this bow it's ash... If u do not enhance it with ash I will not be bidding hehe. but if you do oh man!

Damn man, you're only talking 5 extra HCI, very very easily made up. You'll still have the 13 base plus more swings over time. This is an absolute no brainer.

Yeah, go with ash on that one. It'd be a super dismount bow with yew, but as mentioned by others, HCI and DI can be added with jewels and arties, SSI is harder.

That's a bow for one purpose: dismount and follow with moving shot.

I want to buy it if it survives!
