What was your most enjoyable steal?

Mine:

Lol i think my favorite was when Guardian KX was in luna spamming that he was buying a Cloak of Power (? maybe Death). I was hidden closeby watching. Bloody Mary ran up and sold him one for like 200k (Siege), and i was behind Guardian with his pack open. I tried stealing the cloak but got the 'you cannot steal this' memo (was a new thief and hadnt yet learned that where was a transfer timer). But, Guardian kept standing there so i kept mashing my steal last target macro until finally i had a cloak in my backpack and a pissed off dude chasing me. I escaped, blessed the cloak and put it one to come back and gloat. lol, the Guardian proceeds to say i used a hack on him that made his computer crash so i could steal from him haha. I asked if he wanted to buy my new Cloak, but i guess he had had enough Luna transactions for the day hahaha. why was this my favorite? its so fulfilling to see grownups cry and pitch a fit. lol

Third post down by Shinobi. Beat him to the punch on that one, but worked out quite well.


As for some personal favorites from this past year:

1. "Ari" Robe of Britannia (non-replica)
2. Lieutenant of Royal Britannia Guard Sash [replica] from Siegfried. More so because I hate him.
3. Pizza from JerryII. ; )
4. And from this past week, another Arch Demon statue.....which was later traded for an Item Bless Deed....from the person who let a friend borrow the "Ari" robe which I stole previously.

Hmmm, I think it was not long after the artifacts were introduced. Some guy thinking he was awesome was teasing thieves at the moongate with "a legacy of the dread lord" that wasn't insured. *not sure if insurance was released right after artifacts or whatnot*

He would disarm himself, and gate away. Apparently all the other thieves weren't very smart. So I target the weapon for my last target and hit steal waiting for him to act like a genius again.

And so he comes back, disarms and right away I hit last target, successfully stealing it without getting caught. Needless to say he was pissed off claiming a hack and crying at me, lol.

I got more but this one is what I can remember at the time

haha, it always feels the best stealing from idiots. it almost feels like your doin all of UO a favor hahaha.

oh, speaking of which, i got another one, although it wasnt so much of a steal.

There was this ******y dude at the luna bank actin pretty uppity. He eventually asked me where he could find a vendor with some natural dyes. I said to would gate him to a good vendor house, and opened him up a gate to the inside of the deamon temple haha. He got in, i followed and hid to watch him get destroyed by some greater dragons hangin out inside haha. he dies and i dry loot his crappy lrc armor and head back to the bank. when i get back to the bank he is there like 'your a f** dude, its ok you can have my lrc, look what i got!' and proceeds to put on a cursed armor of fortune, arcane shield, and shadow dancer legs. he talks sh** to me for a few minutes, then this red pops up and says 'go back to trammel carebear!' lol. the dude doesnt like this and runs to the stable to get his pets to take care of the red, but suddenly finds himself with one of my shiney shuriken in his chest. he talks more sh** before he cures. cures, and finds a second of my dp shuriken in his chest haha. he dies. i snag his cursed armor of fortune but then get guard whacked, the red manages to snag his arcane and grabs the armor of fortune off my body. we get all rezzed up and the sh** talker runs off with his tail between his legs. lol a few days later i saw that red and he gave me back to armor of fortune. hahaha. Success!

not exactly a 'steal' but it was a liberation of equipment hehe

Had a guy who I had seen as a popular PK on Catskills... forgot his name sadly but he was one of the best PvPers. He had some inquis resolution and knew I was a thief so while he was at my tower he wanted to see my skills by tempting me with uninsuring his inquis while in his backpack... so I told him I had to grab some water and I would be afk... of course I had steal and last object ready to go

I was KoS for a LONG time by his guild

He had some inquis resolution and knew I was a thief so while he was at my tower he wanted to see my skills by tempting me with uninsuring his inquis while in his backpack... so I told him I had to grab some water and I would be afk... of course I had steal and last object ready to go

One of my favorite steals was actually a series of steals...followed by 3-4 murder counts.

I was in despise early one morning on ATL and found a random group of newbies doing the spawn. This was right before SOT's so I just watched them, laughing at some of the stupid stuff that got them killed. But they FINALLY got the champ up. And I got bored. I was watching them kill barracoon...and not really hurting it. The group was something like 2 archers, chiv dexxer and a tamer mage with a dog. I went from person to person random stealing to take their bandages (the stacks were too high for targeted steals). I got chased by the chiv dexxer I let him chase me around despise in circles just stealing from him until he had no more ways to heal. Then I bolla'd him and Shuriken'd his swampy. I got back to the island and the archers were rats and the dog was dead. So I went back to stealing the rest of the bandages. By the time Barracoon was even a quarter dead I'd stolen all thier bandages and was just coming back and forth hitting them with shurikens when they were being killed by the rats. After I'd killed the archers the tamer went down to the rats. I killed the freshly ressed dexxer with my JOAT archery. They left as ghosts, and Sarme had defended Barracoon.

One of my other favorite steals came from HOT/HEAT as usual. I walked onto the island just in time to see barracoon drop. I was still in ostard form when i snooped and targeted the 120 fencing that showed up in the only pack I had time to snoop. I got out of form, and chased the guy into the star room. I stole it while he was leaving through the gate, and made it out of the room and into terra keep. They didnt even come after me until I was already dead from the spider spawn. That was the day that I made the sarcastic post about being a script thief, because they spammed it in luna after. I just like to **** people off and I definitely managed that with this one. I didnt get to keep the item, but I had fun with it.
