What was it that caused 'bubblegum-itis' in sims?

That is, sims turning 'radioactive' pink and freezing until you cancel that particular interaction. I'm getting it alot today when crafting and I think I remember reading what caused it but I can't remember what that was....does anybody know?

I just remember Tigger coming on my lot one time to investigate . and she said that a pink sim is a very bad thing.

Indeed. If you ever again notice your sim---er, avatar turning pink (or, in Raisin's case, turning pinker than usual), make note of exactly what it was you did to cause him or her to turn pink, then send those details to [email protected] . An avatar turning pink is the program's way of signalling that a fatal fault has been trapped - the avatar turning pink and freezing is the program's defense mechanism preventing the action from crashing the game or resulting in data loss or corruption.

Wow I did not know there should be a bug report made. Last night I was skilling in TC3 and I looked normal to myself skilling but everyone else saw me as frozen and pink. I will make sure to report this the next time it happens.

OK, duely noted. I shall make a bug report this evening and send it to the team. It's happening quite a bit with crafting, and I bet it is related to the bug not being fixed that doesn't dock the boxes from our inventories. I just hope they don't disabled crafting in TC3 to fix it.

Just before the merge I was trying to use up all my simoleans and I was crafting and I turned pink a lot and the game froze. I had to log off and when I came back the craft table was in my inventory and the lighted tree that was next to the craft table disappeared. That happened to me a few times but I never reported it cause we were gonna merge anyway. Didn't know the bug would still be around. Well anyway I think it had to do with that lighted tree cause if I didn't put the tree back the crafting was ok and I didnt turn pink anymore.

I know that one reason for the sims turning was fragmented items on the lot. Not sure if that's what's causing the your sim to turn pink... but take a look around the lot where it happened... see if they have fragmented items. If they do, maybe it's time for Cyrano to go to work again!

Not sure what you're referring to as the lighted tree, but there are no trees around these crafting tables. It's not my lot though so I guess I should include the name of the lot on that bug report so the devs can look at the lot itself to see if the error is there. I crafted some at a lot a couple days ago and didn't turn pink at all, but didn't have to stay at it for as long as I did today, so I'm not sure if the problem is specific to Frenchee (it was another of my sims crafting roach traps a few days ago that didn't turn pink) or if it's lot specific to where Frenchee was crafting (since it was a different lot. I guess I should include both sims names, the one that didn't turn pink and the one that did, so that they can connect whatever dots need to be connected?

So your experiencing a bug while crafting an item to catch bugs....

Very interesting

<----Jots down Frenchee's name to bookmark in case I log into TC3 one day and all the crafting tables are disabled! LOL

No, while crafting the item to catch bugs there was no bug. While crafting the clothing racks today is where the bugs occured
. I suppose the bugs that happen while crafting the roach traps were caught in them.

It was the Tree of Paradise. It couldn't be close to the craft table because I turned pink and froze. When the tree was moved away from the table I didn't turn pink and crash anymore. I guess your problem is different and it could be just the lot you're on and not you alone.

I had this happen to a dog when I was doing pet pulls at my lot last night. They were crates I bought in BF before the merge and I was just getting around to opening them all. I about had a heart attack realizing I was getting a pink poodle, but alas, the dog turned back into its normal color within a couple of seconds. I believe it was a Cairn Terrier too. Weird!!! I thought I was gonna get lucky and of course, I didn't. *sigh* oh well.

My sim use to turn pink alot when I was crafting in BF. I never considered it to be a bug then or i'd of reported it. It's just weird that it's still happening.
