What unique talismans do you keep?

I am just wondering what kind of unique talismans are out there that are your favorite collection?

My favorite is the Vorpal Bunny Summoning. I also have a few Tormented Minotaur killer/protection that might be useful in the spawn. That's it.

I have a Vermin Slayer a friend gave me during the Britain Sewer rat coin spawn that I've held on to to double up with an imbued Repond slayer for the Ratman spawn in the Abyss.

I used to keep cow protection tallys to protect me from zergs. It doesn't work .

I used to use Ice Slayer before they nerfed mages ... but I actually have a spreadsheet of killers and protos i'm working on, hahaha ... some noticeable talismans of interest, off the top of my head, including a fire elemental killer ... which is useful for that one mini-spawn boss.

My dexxer keeps a pretty full set of slayers/killers: flame, ice, mage, vermin, goblin, undead, cow, bear, think that's it. Plus stuff for the mules...

i could be wrong, but i dont think anything post-ML was added to the killer / protection pools? i know you're being half way silly though ;p

It would be nice! or Dread mare, or cu sidhe protection.

haha yeah, I actually wonder if there is a cu sidhe proto? i mean, there should be, it was a ML creature ... but I don't remember ever seeing one.

Any crafting talisman that boosts 20% or greater I keep.

For PvP, i use the Mana Phasing Orbs with:

10% LRC
6% LMC
1 MR
5% DCI

PvE:

5% SDI
6% LMC
1% MR
5% DCI

One question though, does talismans work with mages? The ones with protection or killer. I can never tell the damage difference when it's equipped on my mage...

i could be wrong, but this is how i understand it.

it seems to only effect melee hits coming from the monster or creature type, so your mage won't do any added damage when equipping a slayer talisman through spells, but using a -x mage weapon skill should show an adjustment to your mage's melee attacks.

as for the protection, it should reduce the melee damage, but i don't believe it reduces casting damage done to the player with the protection talisman equipped.

I like my talisman of COW SUMMONING !

I am weird, UO cows are just special to me. lol
The Cow statuette was one of the first vet rewards I once claimed.
And they are always *turned ON* in my houses ! lol

As a newbie back in the day in UO, slayin the poor things in brand new to UO Delucia, cows provided me with hides to sell and upped my archery and swords skills and gave us meat to eat.

Seems appropo to just use me talisman of cow summoning, now to summon a cow to pat em on the head and say...thank you ! LOL Mooooooooooooooo

We should have a UO shrine of gratitude to the UO Cows ! LOL

they used to work for direct damage mage spells w/ killer, but then EA nerfed it for no reason. proto was always melee i think. for example, I used to use exp fs w/ ice slayer to kill WWs.

Gah! Really? Damn... The whole reason I keep it is to avoid the ridiculous stomp attack that kills everyone on screen instantly (during big events... think the Luna invasion near the end of the Shadowlord arc...)

My newest - and now fave - is the Library Talisman of Alchemy. It was on a PAC vendor for 2m and almost passed on by till the +30% Alchemy caught my eye! Bought it and Xsharded home - now my Alchie has 100% chance of making black powder - no more waste at all Already paid for itself - plus I get +5 Magery added...

For my 3 fighters, I have vermin slayer, and bird slayer and an undead talsi each. Have the ice,mage,fire, bovine, etc slayers in common chest. I have saved Bat slayers just in case some new critter pops up...

Those are my favorites, first really helps with the tok boss, and, well you never know when the mongbats will smarten up, form an army and attempt a takeover.

Not worth it just for the tally, but if you ever x-shard the character for some reason, the tally will go back to "owned by no one"
