I have several charges and I'm not sure what to try to make with the valorite hammer any suggestions appreciated

[Blacksmithing] What to craft/reforge with Val hammers?

Do you have a preference I get juicy armor from barbed kits so to speak I just wasn't sure what weapon choices would be best and whether reforging or just crafting the weapon is a better choice
This is an interesting topic. How do you maximize your use of the charges on a val hammer? I know there once was an ongoing debate about using the val hammer for armor vs. weapon, but that was before reforging. Even with getting free mage armor from some of the samauri armor, seems like armor would be better from barbed kit. But not sure. And I'm not really very knowledgeable about reforging. It seems there is a series of questions: (1) armor or weapon; (2) types of reforging, i.e., of the vampire etc.; and (3) number of charges to use.
I doubt it really helps to use powerful -- would save a charge?
