As I understand it, other programs (that's getting old...) just check the client version.
So, give it a few weeks for them to change the way they look for changes, and you're back to square one, and all the patches in the world won't count for anything, unless they change memory addresses/packet or what have you. But, that would mess up UOA, too.
In the long run, without a more invasive anti-cheat system, you're pretty much stuck with "all or none" when it comes to 3rd party programs.
