What items are really needed?

Been rotating through vendors trying out selling different things but for the most part it's the same thing, 2-3 weeks of advertising the vendors ingame and letting them sit stocked and they fall due to gold shortage and lack of sales.

So far i've tried
- potions/resources
- quest fish (these sell ok but for the price they dont sell fast enough to be worth stocking)
- crabs/lobsters (sat for weeks right next to the fish but never sold)
- MIB loot (rare stuff + MIB arties, nothing really sold)
- armor (much like last time, doesn't sell fast enough to be worth stocking, eats through most of the cost of a suit before the suit sells, even for simple 15k lrc suits)
- addons/furniture/etc
- filled spellbooks
- powerscrolls
- sots
- cleanup reward items
- runic tools/bod rewards ( a few sold but not enough to be worth stocking a vendor, i'd be better off just putting it in a secure and offering them when people ask)
- reforged pvp weapons/armor pieces

So my question is basicly this....what do people actually BUY on siege these days that they'd want off of a vendor? It takes a lot of time to stock this stuff and I won't keep them up with nobody buying, at the same time though the reason that I stocked them is because they're all things that I had recently been looking for but couldnt find anywhere to buy, so I figured the same would be true of others. I dont mind checking in during the week keeping vendors stocked (though I pretty much only play on weekends now, i can do a early morning stocking run if needed) but I dont like wasting my time stocking things that dont sell.

I think the population may be too low to have vendors that sell high priced items anymore. I just think most people who want something come here and ask for it rather than vendor hunt.

Location location location! Unfortunatly siege has come down to where your shop is, people check moon gates and magician. I'm sure they step into Luna and let out a big wtf when coming from promo shards. Second presentation of your items goes a long ways. If your vendor looks cluttered or has a gazillion bags to open nobody will shop there. Third is promoting your shop, if your shop is out in the boonies then nobodies going to go look for it. If nobody knows about your shop then they won't find it. I'm reminded of yahas shop, he would holler in chat about his weekly specials. Even tho the selection was limited he was able to bring in constant visitors. Next we should mention pricing, try a price for 3-5 days, if a item has yet to sell drop the price a bit. (always have a minimum price in mind) . Keep in mind just because items are not selling does not mean people aren't looking. My final piece of advice without giving away all my secrets is a special gimmick, what this means is either having a focus item that is always stocked and always under average pricing or have like a item every so many days that is a large discount. Hopefully this helps anyone in the vendor world, if you or anyone else would like some more tips or help just holler at me.

well, I have been calling out in game when i've been restocking, and posted a thread when I reopened. as for prices I'm barely above breakeven as it is. I AM actually getting visitors occasionally just nothing is selling, whish is why my main question is what are people actually buying, i'd like to know what all these people visiting and leavign without purchase are looking for so i can stock it!

I keep hearing people in chat looking for spell books, the basic lrc suits, blank jewelry/armor, bandages, bod rewards always sell nice, ummmm if I can think of more ill post again. My computers being dumb and iPad won't let me log into uo lol I actually tried!

Please post the location so that newer players like myself
( the ones who actually need to buy things ) can find you.

I love to shop, but know of only a few places that have changing stock.

Queen Zen is still moving I think, And you know I miss Guardian KX, he kept a rotating stock at very good prices.

Czarina already has most of my money and I like to look around.

A little latter after training, I my open a small shop myself (as the back of my plot is in a guard zone) But too much going on atm.

I've been stocking lrc suits but they never sell, as for runics/bod rewards i'd seen people browsing through them and leaving often, i cant really lower the prices or i'll just be breaking even sellign them which kinda defeats the point, there's no way i'm going to sell things that take 4-6 part lbods like powder of fort for 10k, the vendor stayed at full stock for almost 3 weeks before it fell, and i took down the armor vendors as just when I was at brit gate, people will buy 2-3 pieces then the vendor basicly stays inactive for months.

As for spell books, what type are they looking for, i've heard 1-2 people asking for full normal 64 spell ones but that's all, not really worth stocking a full vendor for unless they're going to sell often. And how much in the way of bandages, I have tens of thousands of cloth so it wouldnt be hard to stock some if they'll actually sell.

IF we had the population we once had, we would all be busier,
with whatever vendors we had.

Our balance has been eroded, in that once upon a time we had lots of pvpers, lots more pks, lots more folks playin good guys bad guys, and thus lots more needing of just about everything, by nearly everyone, cuz
more folks were fighting and dying and all that good stuff,
thus more folks needing more often, to re equip,
needing potions, bandages, etc. etc.

Heck I can remember even running a huge vendor home in
*nomans land* Wintermoor and we were busy as heck.
All our stuff sold out DAILY even, and Wintermoor was so far out there,
that unless one could gate, it was a LONG LONG walk for folks to get there
at all, to buy stuff.
But we had the population back then, and we [sold out all the time],
even way way out there, in Wintermoor.

The one fella that sold gates in 1k lots in New Mag.
seemed to been empty of selling gates for long time now.
Seeing a lack of gate scrolls all over the shard I had my Hughes
make up some gates to sell, this past week or so.

These sold out a couple times this past week
@ MYTH minimart, next to the Aeric Horn Memorial
or behind the Umbra hub, 1k for 10 gates.

I just didn't bother to *advertise*
cuz I didn't see the point,
with so low a population here,
I figured, if someone DID need em,
they probably would find them, sooner or later, which they have.

But my Hughes' suit, jewelry and mana,
and my own brain fries
and my eyes glaze over
making too many gates
to sell to others though.
I can only hack it,
to make about 50- 80 gate scrolls, a day,

so maybe ya should ALSO make some gates, to sell, to folks !

Ya don't want my brain, to be a'fryin,
cuz it is not a pretty picture, when that happens.

My shop is north east of the magincia moongate right near the beach. named mongbat ranch. theres a tele on the front porch that goes into raptors shop for easy access.
