The name 'Faeryl' was actually a randomly generated monster name I came across one day while playing FFTA. I was looking for a name for the new elven tamer character I wanted to make, and it just sounded... right. Amazingly, despite playing that game through several times since then, not once have I come across a monster with that name again.
Her last name, Tyr'athem, was from a name generator I found online. I just looked at the meanings and stuck something together that fit with taming. It pretty much translates to Mistress of the Dragons.
Some of my other Atlantic characters, Ruten, Ruani, and Lysean, are all from the same generator as Fae's last name. Alaesi, J'Taeri and Jo'nae... Not sure how I came up with those, they just kinda popped into my head.
I also have a couple characters scattered over other shards, most with rather plain names. However, one character, Letha Kincaid, is a combination of the given name and a persona of the main character of one of my favourite series' of books: The Georgina Kincaid series. Her given name before she became a Succubus was Letha, but in the time of the book, she had taken on the name of Georgina Kincaid.

An ex girlfriend of mine was obsessed with the writings of Marquis de Sade. I used to roll pk back in the days before Trammel and Marquis de Sade was my first major "toon". 209 is the area code for much of the Central Valley in California where i spent my first 21 years.
I was making an Archer/Fisherman. I was messing around with the hair sytles. Barry Gibb just seemed to fit well. He is no longer a fisherman though.

ok, here's why i posted that. Droppixel PM'd me that in determining ownership of an account, knowing the toon names is a major factor in that decision. yeah, i know there's more involved. I don't think i'm being a little paranoid, I just have little faith in their system, especially after reading other posts of people's accts being handed off to someone else, even repeatedly. I wouldn't trust them with a donut. (But, in all fairness, you shouldn't trust me w/ a donut either)
my form name is the name of my first tamer .. She was a name whose first name i picked and a very close friend at the time picked our last names .. there were 3 silvermanes i have been told there are rumored to be other silvermanes on other shards i think atlantic was the last i heard but this is neither him or me .. I am the last remaining silvermane of the chesapeake silvermanes .. I killed rose off along time ago .. and Wren the brother to Emma and Rose Is Gone Never to return .. i still speak to him from time to time but thats a time past ... It just stuck

My forum name came from back in SE/ML when i would compete in PvP as a completely legit (No cheats whatsoever) Samurai/Swordsman and wear a suit worth 2-3 Mill at max, and i would kick the crap out of people who were using several cheat programs and wearing 30-60 Mill suits.
I don't really know where my name came from. When we were in our early teenage years a friend and I thought it was the greatest thing to make weird but familiar sounding names. So we'd take normal names like Claude and Henry and change a letter on them. So I made Vlaude and he made Henru. I've only ever used Vlaude for UO and Stratics. Most other places I'm "i stole your food" or "isyf" which I also couldn't really explain. Most recently however I've been using the name Laurentius who is my favorite NPC character from the game Dark Souls because I think that's just the greatest name. If I ever feel like creating another new character for UO that will be the name I use.
Well Warsong was not my first handle on this site, Nor was he my first UO character. My first handle here was lost in the great trander incident. So I decided to make a fresh start when I started this account. Warsong is/was a great game that I played many years ago on the sega genesis, from time to time I still break out the old genesis and give it a play! And of course LS stands for Lake Superior shard. Where I started playing and will continue to play until they close down the servers.

Leodegan (my main char, was an ousted king in books, not that that has any bearing on the way i play i just liked the name)
Ceinwyn (again pretty much just thought the name was nice)
Tanaburs (a druid in books so he's my main crafter, gives me a wierd satisfaction all my weaps n armour having that name on it)
Caleddin (same as above a druid in books so this ones my imbuer/alchemist/scribe)
Then theres LOTR: Morgul (used to dress in all black n was my scribe but changed it to resource collecting)
I got Ceolwulf (samp in training) from a website with medieval names just cos i liked it
Got one slot left which is just used for storage and to have cool statue "The Avatar" but when I decide what to do with that slot im gunna have a good go at not picking a character from my favourite books heheh.

I've always been fond of the name my mother came up with for her necro mage. The character's name is 'Myra Venge'. As for my characters, I've always been Epic in UO.
heres a question .. if you have seperate forum names for stratics do u post as 2 different types of pepole .. I only have one so i only post one way but if u have more than one do u post more than one way? does it get confusing? have u ever posted on the same topic as more than one LOL and gotten confused
i do believe im dingy enough that i would get way to confused or start postin as one on the other and vice versa .. so i keep it simple one log in one way to post

That's an interesting question- I personally don't though. Shelra was my first character I made in UO, and when I signed up for stratics, I just went with that, mainly because it's a derivative of my name. I can see reasons though for those that do have seperate names for different aspects of posting, for instance those that RP. Not sure if there would be other reasons.
All these replies have really been quite engaging and I've enjoyed reading them all, thank you to everyone sharing this part of yourselves to us all.

It's when you mix up the letters and make them into different words, using the same letters.

I use several log ins for several reasons and am generally good about announcing to those who ask which ones are me. I write a lot of rp stories and its just easier to post on each character their own fiction. I just have to go back a few times and make sure I'm on the right one before I try and post. *laughs* So I guess the answer is yes.. and no. Additionally, not only will I gladly cough up with peeps are me, but if I'm answering a thread I normally answer it on one name. Not both.
