What do you purchase to upgrade from a trial account?

My husband has been trying out UO the last few days on a trial account and has decided he wants to keep playing. However, when he went to uogamecode.com and tried to buy a Mondain's legacy upgrade code, it said his account was too new and that he could only purchase a new account. He wants to keep the character he has been playing on the trial account he already has. How can he continue using the account he started the trial with, just upgrade it to Mondain's Legacy? All of the info on the uogamecodes.com site suggests he needs to start an entirely new account.

All he shold have to do is start a subscription and start paying for the game with either game codes or credit cards.

If hes thinking of ATL i have acces to a few old friends accounts he can have the info to and fire them back up. Not much on them but some chars already started. All you will have to do is change account info.

Okay, he entered his credit card info, but it's still showing him as a trial account :S

We play on Catskills I've been around on there since '99 (I forgot my password here and it apparently has my old e-mail ;_; That's what I get for going inactive, I guess) so he's bumming around with me. Thanks for the offer though!

Thanks I hope so! Strangely it says Mondain's Legacy is registered to him, but it's sounding like the trial account time has to run out before it will let the account be a "full" account - which is frustrating, because if nothing else, we'd wanted to do some Tokuno hunting together!

Trial accounts can't go to Tokuno? Is that what you are saying?

He can go to Tokuno, but he can't participate in the Treasures of Tokuno event going on, and it will be pretty much over by the time the trial runs its course.

You have to wait 30 days on a trail account before you can pretty much do anything........

What I would do is do a google on UO 9th Anniversary Edition.

You may want to see if there is a copy in s store near you.

This bundle gives you all expansions and 2 Account Codes, one is a New Code and one is an Upgrade Code.

Both are valid and I believe both give you a 30 day free trial.

In the end when I returned to UO I encountered the exact same thing and ended up needing to forfeit the first (Trial) account for reasons explained here. IT is not possible (although I did not call EA) to get those things upgraded, until you have gone through the free trial period + 30 PAID days.

Just easier and cheaper to get the 9th Anniversary Edition and plug in the Upgrade code.

Yes. I would not advise buying the UOML code from the uogamecodes.com website. Them trying $30 is a scam.

I know for a fact Newegg had 9th Anniversary boxes for $15, which is UOML + extras. Again no idea why their site is still charging $30 for one ML upgrade code.

dont buy anything, just fill in your credit card info and you're ready to go.

EA will charge 12.99 when your trial is over thus making your account normal and not trial

The OP implied the Trial Account is NOT enabled for the current event and doing what your suggesting would NOT enable all expansions. That would require an Upgrade Code or a New Account Code.

Hence for the 19.99 the 9th Anniversary Edition Box is the superior deal. If the OP can find a Local Game Spot that has the box, then they are Upgraded, get 30 days free and can take part in the current Events

Yay, thanks so much for the number for EA. He called this morning and they've cancelled the trial, so now he just has to pick up a copy of the 9th Anniversary box on his way home from work. ^_^ Thanks for everyone's help!
