im playing around with imbuing armor.. this one is tricky..
if you take a plain armor, and imbue resists.. sometimes it wont let you.

even tho you are way under the total.

i was under the impression that all resists count as 1 property and you can essentially add resists totaling all the way up to the 500 cap?

I had no trouble imbuing 5 resists onto a piece. You're starting with a plain iron piece, no specially material and no runic bonuses?

no it was the runic bonus. i thought they added to your imbuing.. it replaces it.

You can imbue a maximum of 5 properties. If the piece comes up with other bonuses, like mana regen, lrc etc, that cuts into the 5 you can imbue. So if the piece has, for example, 2 magic properties, and you want to imbue resists onto it, you'll only be able to imbue 3 of them.

yeah im not doing so well with armor pieces.. i messed up 2 and i used up 5 bottles of pof each lol..

i sure wish your magic powers of imbuing increased the durability to 255 automatically..

i cant figure out what armor pieces i can add to and what ones i cant..

here is what i did
i used a spined kit, made some sleeves with mr2.. thats one mod.
i want to add lrc 18, thats mod 2.
but when im done, my sleeves had 4/5 mods already.. i didnt even get to add any resists.. i dont understand.

they were crappy too, like 14, 9, 8, 12, 7

was 14 and 12 considered a mod???

Yes, any resist increase over the base resists is considered a mod. So you could increase the 12 or 14.

i get it, see i wanted to make the item like this.
mr2, lrc18
14, 18, 18, 12, 18

but nope.. cause it started with 4/5 mods :(

so my take on imbuing armor is not quite worth it..

ill have to mess around with it some more.

so technically tho, i should have be able to max out all the resists except one and still have mr2?

so imbued armor, say i want each piece to be mr2 and lrc15+
what is the formula for all 70s?

has anyone worked that out?

How many pieces in the suit? 6?
You're looking for 350 resists (70x5).
You have 350/6 = 58.3 per piece.
You're using 2 imbuing slots for other mods so you can imbue 3 resists per piece.
You get base material + imbuing to give you 58.
Bases material is I think 13 total, so you have to imbue 45 in 3 slots.
So, imbue an additional 15% on 3 slots.

Caveats, you can't control where the arms lore bonus or exceptional bonus gets put so they become a factor as well. Bottom line is you need to craft several pieces trying to get the correct spread of the resists across the set. Then imbue the correct pieces.

Hmm...sounds like it may take the skill of a legendary crafter to make an awesome suit, eh?

What if you made something with just a regular kit? That would give you the exceptional bonus for imbuing but not give extra unwanted mods right? Then you just imbue it the way you want.

i been trying, lol..

the problem is you dont get base+imbued. you get imbued # + left over base.

basically it looks like starting with a runic kit, and trying to get the mods you want then adding the resists later is NOT the way to go..

the way to do it is, make a bunch of plain pieces, try to get 2 high resists with your armslore bonus.. then add the other 3, then your 2 mods.. in my case it will be mr2 and lrc 18.

I have no idea what your problem is... On test it was amazingly easy to get enough resists plus 2 mods... No I didn't spam 100% mod intensity, i did 80-90. I made a suit that would be realistic to make on a real shard, why? cuz that's what i was testing -_- I haven't had time to asctually train the skill. Joys of college.
