[Discussion] What are the top 10 rare collections in UO these days in your opinion

Don't count mine. I want to use this thread to get the players visiting musuems again. I don't know who has what now except for some and many are set in private so can't see but here is a list of musuems I remember:

What I determine a big collection is the overall "WOW" factor which is based on a combination of quantity and quality of items from these periods throughout UO history.

I was very happy to see this list once it was constructed. It tells us that Mesanna and her EM team have made this possible since the EMs revival in 2008. I don't recall the list was ever this impressive not even back in the days of Hemisphere (I call that the Golden Age of Rare Collecting).

Speaking of that, I actually created an chronological age of rares collecting based on what I remembered and sad to say what a nerd I was and still am since I was there for all of it LOL.

Starting from the beginning:

well mine is a work in progress on great lakes at 55 11N 44 47E. Large tower on the eage of the Bog of Desolation.Only thing is be sure to look carefully at everything never know what you will see.

Question, should we ask the Mod to sticky this thread and I can try to manage the thread, i.e. updating new collectors and dropping out those who is no longer collecting. Perhaps getting rid of the musuem thread since that takes so long to load each time and the collections are constantly changing?

Ty I believe it came from a napa event a while ago.
I also believe there were 6 different colors. As far as the colors go i dont remember them all. I do recall green, Black, and Blue. Rest i dont remember sry. There was a post on the horses a whiles back with all the colors. Hopefully its still up.

My "Museum" is just my Malas Castle with some stuff in it! The Castle is the most valuable thing I have there I think Manti included me because of some of the things I've aquired in the last couple months, most of which I'm still in the process of getting back to Napa and or displayed. Most of what I've got displayed is right now is rubble, suit-sets and a 2 story statue.

Dragonstorm Manor is just outside of eastern bridge of Umbra. My items for the most part aren't displayed as a normal museum, but rather worked into the decor. I tend to favor special named roses, old crafted double exceptional items and rare drinks. Two teleporters on the bottom floor will take you to the 3rd floor and roof. Pardon the mess.

Guardian's Gate Rare Museum

This is my place. It is rather new, and was constantly viewed during the Chesapeake Rare Fest this year. It is still being worked on by design and organization. The second level is oddity rares and semi's, while the 3rd floor is going to made up of Guild submitted items, and a tribute to a Curator of the past Lady Katherine of Chesapeake and Guardian's Gate.

Favorite items: Alpha Hellhound Fang (1 of 2), Bloodstained Tunic (1 of ~30ish), and Magician's Cowl (1 of 5). There are various other server births and event items. I have no theme other than 'old' or 'hard to get' which translates to 'rare'

Wow lots of collectors! Hard to pick favorites since there is so many. But I do love the crammed tiny types. Jinx and Saras old museum was my favorite (new ones cool too) it had rares stacked on rares, crammed in corners and on the floor, every time I went in I spotted something new.
Also liked Peils museum, small house with neat deco and uber rares hidden in the corners.

My mess of a collection, not uber high end but I enjoy it. Location is west of Umbra up the road a ways 26. 54'N 8. 51'E if anyone wants to come by, always open unless I'm in my drop and redo mood.
