I figured everyone else was making a mission statement, so I better had as well.

I'm in B^A. I'm gonna stay in B^A, and I'm gonna keep acting like I've been acting since I started on siege. I'm gonna act like I did when I was in NEW2 as an emi. I'm gonna act like I did when I was in TnT and we were all **** because we were allied with Arrr. I'm gonna act like I did when I joined B^A and we were all **** because we were allied with FYOU. I'm gonna keep acting like I have been for the past 2 1/2 god damned years.

I threw my lot in with Igg because he's a smart guy. As a guild leader, he calls the shots pretty much the same as I would in any given situation. If you believe he brought people to Siege to try to kill the PvP scene, you're an idiot. It's okay, you can come kill me for calling you idiots. Take my stuff too!

One last thing, you all need to take a moment to think about the benefits of having an enemy. This has given your slack asses a chance to rally together, strategize and fortify your front before the next VvV battle. If you don't like the GC pvp, turn it off, it doesn't have to be a part of it. Obviously, don't wear your best color coordinated suit with the pom pom socks. How about instead of pissing and moaning about being looted, and analyzing the speed of the chat text going by in a youtube video, you put that energy into battle plan. You're telling me GIL can spend hours going through wave after wave of the void pool, but they can't present a unified front against 2 players?

I'm gonna try to stop wasting my time reading and reacting to all this horse manure, and actually play some UO now, before the crying baby I'm paid to listen to wakes up.

I'm not going with anything. I didn't even watch the video. They do their thing, I do mine, and I can say with full confidence and 100% certainty that I have never used some voodoo program to give me super powers.
We can only answer for ourselves, everything else is (useless) speculation.

Spiffy just forum owned you all snap. Just fyi accusing someone of cheating is against forum rules. And just my opinion that video isnt proof of any cheating, in the very least it was that player who is a dexxer calling his targets and switching from one to another that is all. Im not on one side or the other, but when someone loses and crys cheats is just lame. I used to be that way when I fought forsaken or crunch, I thought these guys have to be cheating. Then I realized that those guys were just a lot better than me.

The fastest typist of all time typed 150 words per minute. That's 2.5 words per second. The number of words seen in the video are faster than 2.5 words per second, and that's not even taking into consideration the time spent looking at the new targets name, all this while moving (I assume), which required mouse use...

Obviously this was text output not typing, who are we trying to kid here?

Anyway I don't understand how that video relates to this topic, does that person play here or something?

Anyone who has seen that video and says that those messages are manually delivered is either lying or blind.

But for the sake of argument, let´s say they are manually done.

A. He types faster than the Flash.
B. He has a macro key for each player's name on the shard. Don´t we all?
C. He switches target 3 times per second cuz that is what a real target caller does. How else would one win in PvP?
D. No one in UO cheats.

Is this even a big deal? When the game doesn't police its policies that's what happens. I've been under the impression that hardcore pvp has been pretty much ubiquitously "assisted" for years and years. On prodo anyway, don't know about here.

This is a keenly important point. Back in the day when everyone at GDC was beginning to get excited about online games, Raph Koster was holding a roundtable with other online game designers. This was back when he was formulating his set of rules for designing virtual worlds. He asked us all what our first rule was.

Mine was, Hate is Good.

Yet over the decade before Ultima Online I'd worked on nothing but purely competitive games....we call that PvP now which makes we wince a little each time I see it. And what I saw was far greater community cohesiveness, bonding and intensity by groups that has just gotten their butts kicked than by the ones who'd kicked them. The former had nowhere to go but up. The butt kickers on the other hand....well.....you get the point.

In short, I'd agree with you completely. Problem was the matter of a unilateral and unannounced breaking of a standing ROE that has existed for weeks prior.

Yep that was what you saw, but that was not what I saw early UO and on Siege. Yes Hate is Good at the start, it was Hate the Evil. Hate the Good first came when we got stat loss and evil blamed good for ruining their chars. After that, hate was both ways. Then we got the split and it became impossible to keep the communities that was builded around Hate the Evil.
