[Imbuing] Weapons and Hit Effects

Not sure if this would be better suited for another forum or not but...
I find crafters seem to know the mechanics better than any so...

Is there an order to a the hit area and hit spell effects?
Can both go off on the same hit?
For example...
If I swing a weapon and the hit fire area goes off...can the hit lightning go off as well? Vice versa?
Or if one goes off the other one isn't bothered to be checked?

Just asking before I start my imbued weapons vendor

I have never seen a weapon like that very interesting idea you got there. I would like to think that they do not check each other because they are two different types of damage, but I'm not sure about that so don't quote me on it. Maybe Petra would be able to answer it better she seems to have a good handle on weapons damage and such. The other option is to imbue on and see if it works for your self and then let us know :)

That question gets interesting when you add those effects to weapons with a whirlwind-special. *g*

Would've been better posting this in the warriors forum. Think for a minute, who's more likely to know, the people who craft, or the people who use them?

Yes to both.
Hit Harm/Lightning/Velocity/Area all hit instantly.
Hit Harm/Fireball have a slight delay.

...and it's possible for all hit spells on a weapon to go off at once, and the same applies to all hits of double strike and whirlwind.

It's one of the reasons that the Blaze of death, slow as it is, is such an incredible weapon at low-level spawns where the targets don't have high fire resist. Hit Fireball, Hit Fire Area, and Whirlwind attack.

Thank you kindly for the info.
I was sitting there debating on which forum to post and went back and forth a couple times in my mind between here and the warrior forum before betting on crafters knowing the mechanics better. Oh well.
