I logged in for todays new xmas gifts - my Ninja was still in animal form (wolf) while logging in (never happened before). But now I can't change form to my human - always got the "You cannot use that ability in this form". And his speed is really slow.

Erm... definately a bug, yes.

I posted this in another thread (sorry no time to look for it, i am on lunch break) but to fix this issue you need to equip a halloween costume and then remove it.

well in llama form i could cast every mage spell except polymorph. and i killed myfelf and became human form but still couldnt change forms. thats what gave me the idead to try a costume, well that and they put in a publish/patch with new costumes

*edit: I did see this on origin and reported it. and if you cant cast recall try the help/stuck option

LOL stuck in form

So I logged off in animal form last night, figuring I'll revert backto human when I log in, as usual. But this time, that didn't happen.
I logged in and STAYED in animal form.
I logged back out, closed the client, logged back in, no go.
I tried recasting the animal form (several different ones) and STILL stuck in animal form.
I can cast spells, but can't ride a mount.......currently waiting for a GM.
I'd send this into bugs, but I have to go to work and have no time, hell I'm not even sure why I paged a GM since they take more time to get here than I have time to wait.
Cya, I'm off to work.
Dying fixed it, but now I can't go BACK intoany animal form (107 ninjitsu)

Yes, both my main faction thieves are in the same situation. Stuck in wolf without any benefits!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can't ride ethy,can't change form... I even tried to bola them with another account. EA says - this will require further investigation.... ;-/ .... meanwhile my two main chars are "down".

If you have a Halloween mask, try equipping it and unequipping it. Then you should be able to pop out of whatever form you're in.

Apparently, this is a bug with the layering of cosmetics and should only happen this once.

...and to make it even more intersting... with the mask equipped I can form change ... but when I take off the mask I go BACK TO WOLF!!!! Even though when I form changed with the mask on I went to ostard, when I take off the mask... wolf... *sigh*

This is three of my main chars now... my main stealth mage is also stuck in form. Must be sign it is time to take a break!

Thats ok, I am stuck in female form. I polymorphed into a female to do Baracoon so I wouldn't get turned into a rat and I logged out for the evening (the night before the publish hit Origin) and came back the next day, still female. I will have to try the mask trick later. The funny thing is that I can wear female armor and everything like I am supposed to be female (I am not supposed to be). I thought it was an EC problem so I posted about it there and I sent in my bug report as well. Hopefully I am not stuck as a female forever :\

Oh hey, if i transform into a vampire while wearing a costume, then take the costume off, im still the costume creature.
That's definitely a bug.

I was stuck in llama form this morning too. I wasn't sure what to do so tried using a skeleton costume but that didn't help. I killed my character and tried the costume again. That worked and I am no longer stuck in llama form. However I am about 99% sure that my character's skin hue is not right while in human form.

Having the same problem. My llama form isn't faster and I can't change out of llama form. I put on a costume and now I can change forms, but it appears that my default form is llama--without the speed increase. So, I can switch from llama to llama. I don't know if that makes sense, but I haven't had any coffee yet.

Basically, I think my human form looks like a llama now.

The costume trick didnt work for my guildleader. So we now have a guildleader stuck in animal form. Hahaha

Logged my faction thief in, oddly, he was in unicorn form. No problem says I and off I strode.

Oops..noticed no mounted speed, this could be a problem.

Recalled out (in animal form) and then attempted to use animal form spell..cant use it.

Tried remove ward tali..no luck.

Tried bola from another character..no luck.

Tried purge magic..no luck.

Discovered I could not mount my ethy.

I have done a small amount of Imbuing this morning. It appears to be functional with no glitches. after training it on 4 bracelets, I was able to go from 97.6 to 98.1, so the gains seem to be better. I haven't unraveled anything yet but I was having an issue with my thief so i didn't try long. as to the thief problem when i logged her in to get the Christmas ticket, she was still in llama form but running very slowly. so i tried to change forms and got the message you cant cast that in this form. i tried to cast other spells and could (recall, flamestrike any magery spell) but coundn't change forms. Had to kill her to change forms. (actually considered leaving her like this lol)

*edit ok logging in to my thief again I am in human form but it still says "you cant use that ability in this form" while i am trying to change into a lllama or any other form i cannot cast polymorph either (it is the only magery spell i cant cast so far)

I was in vent yesterday with an alliance mate who got himself stuck in lich form as well and had similar issues. He was in lich form as the shard went down for maintenance and when we came back up he was still in form, could change into other forms but his *base* form appeared to be lich. Casting lich form had no effect.

I think it'd be hilarious if the devs told us the 'fix' was to put a costume in your hand and commit suicide.

I asked this in another recent thread. Can you go back into the form you were stuck in and come back out? Maybe that will reset your normal hue.

My logic is that if you now go back into unicorn form, and then back out, the server may send back the correct hue. But since this didn't happen to me, I can't test it.

I asked this in another recent thread. Can you go back into the form you were stuck in and come back out? Maybe that will reset your normal hue.

In case you want to try to make the publish notes fit your situation, here's a cut and paste (with cleaned-up formatting) from the Publish 63 notes Andy posted yesterday:

Character Body and Hue System

Fixed various exploits and bugs that resulted in avatars becoming permanently invisible.

Fixed various exploits and bugs that resulted in permanent avatar skin tone change.

New Rules:

• The new system stacks and tracks all hue and body change effects.
  
• These effects are prioritized, and when multiple effects are stacked then the changes with the highest priority are the ones applied to the avatar .
  
• Cosmetic effects are transformations that are generally cosmetic only. Prioritization (highest to lowest): (a) Xenrr’s Fishing Pole, (b) Barreraak’s Ring, (c) Halloween Costumes, (d) Incognito, (e) Savage Kin Body Paint.
  
• Functional effects are spells and spell-like effects that generally have ancillary effects (e.g. the brittle skin effect from Medusa). Prioritization (highest to lowest): (a) Petrification / Brittle Skin , (b) Spells of all schools.
  
• Functional effects are higher priority than cosmetic effects, with exceptions: Some “easter egg” effects are cosmetic but override the visual appearance from functional effects.
  
• Characters can now have multiple cosmetic effects on at the same time. For example: A player can now equip Barreraak’s Ring while wearing savage paint. The avatar will take on the goblin appearance but will still have all of the effects of the savage paint (per visual priorities listed above). If the paint is removed (or explodes) while in goblin form: (a) The avatar still looks like a goblin so long as the goblin item remains equipped; (b) then when the goblin item is removed the avatar reverts to its original body and skin tone .
  
• Characters are still limited to having one functional effect on at a time. For example, you still cannot cast Animal Form while polymorphed .
