Why is it that if a mage and a fencer are fighting.

The two will be in battle with auto defend/attack happening, yet if the mage casts para fields and the dexer walks into them, assuming the dexer has no resist. the dexer loses his auto attack on the mage and has to re-target him. This will happen every time the dexer hits the para field.

Is this supposed to be this way?

Good question.
I don't mean to derail.
Fields have become wonky imo.
If I'm in the abyss doing a spawn I can drop poison fields and ev's.
I run off and med and my med session is disturbed by a fire demon receiving damage from my field even tho I'm not being hit or damaged.
Its a parallel to your q

Whats with fields any way?
Devs should have a look or a fellow lurker can explain their views on this,Thx.

I think so. I see it too, intermittently, from a Golem's para blow - makes me lose targeting, similar to 'trapped box' effect.

I noticed that something similar would happen when my dexer would bleed someone.

Even if they ran in the house for safety and I hit a screen away outside, as soon as the bleed would hit it would reveal me.. and I would get the message above my head saying i am attacking so and so.

Also, is it just me who thinks that a mage in stat loss who wins dueling against a mage who is not in stat loss kind of lame..

I've never said I was the best mage dueler, or even in the top 50%, but that would never happen if it was two dexers dueling, one in stat loss and one not.

This is why I have always hated that mage duels are all about timing and small spells and not more on the characters actual skill selection and level.

Ah well rant over
