Was tonight's event the best or the worst?

It was a mess, a complete disaster...
If you go on these purely for the fun and to kill monsters... it sucks for you because there was immense lag and you couldn't see the monsters. And when they died, you couldn't loot them half the time (they get mixed in with player corpses) even if you found the corpse.
I hated it. I go to events for items but don't criticize if I don't get one. This was a terrible mess.
I did end up getting vampire blood off the boss, which has handled horribly too.

The start was especially bad because it turned into just a death field dropping in. Every single person who did not run back through the gate ended up dying.

id like to see/hear the entire event elaborated on. i wasn't there but was following the story.
I'm glad I didn't go. All the past "come kill stuff" events have been the same laggfest and un-eventful and un-imaginative experience. Why should this have been any different.
The boss should have been released at the end of the event not at the end of that tunnel system in the beginning. A stealther/peacer/provoker worked its way to the end of the tunnel first 10 minutes into it and killed it 2 hours before the rest of us can get there. My friend walked to the end as a ghost and saw the whole thing.
Second, close corridor fighting is fine on small shards but not Atlatnic where you have hundreds of players all funneling in at one place. This is what the Spartans did to the Persians at the battle of Thermopyale "a death trap" for players. Especially when the EM lined the place with life leeching enhanced succubuses and hydras. On top of that there were hordes of ancient liches that reveals instantly and on top of that insane rotting corps that deep poisons you on the touch.
I guess it could be worse if this was in Fel LOL

Well the EM must have made a second boss because there was one at the end of the event.

The way the boss kept teleporting around, I'm not sure a stealth/peace/provoker could have solo'ed it. We had a bard in our group and from his cursing, I don't think much in there was provokable.
I didn`t bother going to this one.It would interfere with Ni guilds nightly guild hunt and i wasn`t impressed with the EM event the night before.From what i heard in vent it was a `lagfest` and at 400 ping avg more lag is not what i need.However these events are good to have and give some of the solo players a chance to do group hunting.Maybe if the EM`s had a little more *control/ingame power* to actually create a new monster instead of just having the same old ones named/colored differently.
I think it would be interesting if they chose a spot that normally has weak spawn and for a few days have it spawn something a bit harder like they had in brit cemetary a few Halloweens ago.

first boss and monsters stood still and when you provoked them they moved

I doubt very highly that anyone got to the bakc and provoked / peaced the boss to death, Way to amy critters left there when the gang of us made it in. There were many of the vampireric with their area effect as well as enough othere critters that would have MANGLED a Solo player.
Ohterwise I am split on how it went.
The begining was a true nightmare but what did you expect, it wsa very tough thow.
As time went on people got a little organized and worked our way thru.
I think there definalty needs to be a better targeting / corpse / looting system for these events.
Turn all of the spell words, pet commands, other needless voices invisible.
Make your corpse color different and more visible as well as shrinking and eliminating all other player corpses but party members.
Have a way of openeing corpses for looting easier. At times CTRL SHIFT didnt show all of the items and even causes crshing at times.
I did have a blast and am sorry to aliies I had a tought time getting bars and such in all the mess and still trying to loot corpses.
I luckily got a vial of vampires blood.

It was rough at the start, died maybe 8-10 times. Ended up getting one of the 5 vamp blood flasks though so can't complain too much. 
I enjoyed it. It was laggy of course, but that was to be expected. The lag got better after the first wave or two of deaths and departures and we started to make headway. As far as a death trap for players, I think that was the point. It wouldn't be too much challenge if we could all just solo it or push through with a small group without anyone dying. I think it's supposed to be a little bit challenging.
Like others have posted before me, at least we have an event going on sometimes on our shard. I didn't get any good pixel crack and I died a lot, but the event definitely gave me something interesting to do. That's all I was looking for so I had fun

That was probably me, only I don't have Stealth or Peace, I have 120 Mage/Med/Resist/Music/Discord/Provoke. The only thing I killed back there was a named Devourer Of Souls which I Discorded then Provoked the Vampire/Succubus's on to. It didn't drop anything.
I got a Cloak Of Silence from the Meraktus/Primeval boss at the end.
I literally have 100+ videos waiting to be edited and uploaded.
Video is all ready to go but Youtube is down. Every time I try to go to my video page it gives an error. The tech forum says this has been happening for hours so I don't know when I will be able to publish.
