Vet Rewards have been one of the best gifts UO has given back to its player base for loyal playing for years.
The 13 years the game has been going on we have seen many great things come to the players of UO. None so coveted than the Reward earned each year.
Now for the "but....":
In my shopping of player vendors over the last few months I have seen so much of the Reward items build up over the years by past and present players there is a glut of items going to waste. Not only are they to an excess that the average player has multi of them unused.
What am I talking about??
Well lets list the over flow of rewards taking up bit space and lag...
Dye Tubs - Special , Furni, Black, Leather. (the original black tubs unlabled are many too)
Statues - First, second and some 3rd years (Dragon, Demon, Lich etc..)
Soulstones - Many "DEAD" stones Even some non Reward too, these are the full stones.
Clothes - 1st - many robes ,cloaks etc
The list could go on of these items but I wish to propose a "FIX".
Like a turn in we had for the holloween masks or the Siege 7th an. items for trade.
A single NPC would credit you with turn in's twards a "new" item from the rewards menu but with a twist.
Turn in :
2 second year Vet Reward items earns you a choice from the year 1 - 3 year list (1 choice)
2 third year item get 1 fourth year item or lower on the list
Turn in can build up as you add, say you turn in 10 1st year reward items get a 5th year choice.
These could go to the top of the vet list.
This would go along way to cleaning up unwanted items and put a higher value on things in game.
