What is required to never fail res pet? In both or just one.

You need at least 80 vet and lore to even attempt a pet rez. Hope that helps!

120 in vet and lore will guarantee your resurrections.

Your chance to res comes from this calculation:
(100 * (veterinary * 10 - 930) / 50 + 500) / 10

Maybe I just haven't had my morning caffeine, but isn't that formula ridiculously complicated for something that should be pretty straightforward?

My experience in rezing pets with an effective 120 lore, effective 120 Taming (no apparent contribution) and effective 120 Vet is this:

I FAIL to rez a pet maybe 1 in 50+ times, but I will fail on occasion. And yes the above stated skills are at the stated levels.

I do not count these fails as significant but it would seem to indicate that when UO says something is "Indestructible" that it doesn't quite mean that it wont be destroyed

In short I have come to the belief there are no guarantees in anything UO says is guaranteed to succeed.
