The hour grew late as the Vesper Militia geared up preparing to make their last stand at the militia headquarters. The Trade Union lay on a nearby island getting ready to set sail upon Vesper beach.
The militia hacked away at the trees in the local forests, gathering wood to craft crates in order to build the beach wall. Once completed it was a waiting game as they stood silently staring out into the waters of Vesper.
Swiftly they came, three warships of the Union' slicing through the Vesparian waters as they closed in on the beach. Volley after volley of cannon fire and arrows were fired at the beach pounding on the militia that guarded it. The Militia returned fire with bombs, a single cannon and a barrage of magic.
Eventually the Militia managed to successfully repel the Union's attack but not without its cost. The beach wall had taken heavy damage and the militia sustained numerous casualties and so they fell back into the HQ to defend from there.
The Trade Union regrouped at the fishing tent down the beach planning their final assault on the HQ.
Bloodshed....a long bloody battle is what came next as the Trade Union stormed the headquarters clashing with the ranks of the Militia. The Militia fended them off for a while before being forced out of the headquarters onto the beach where they continued to skirmish with the Unions troops. The Militia attempted numerous charges upon the HQ to reclaim it but they were overwhelmed by the Union's waves of archers.
Once the cease fire had been called and the dust settled, both factions gathered outside on the beach where Chancellor Van Cocidius announced he would be giving a speech shortly in the town hall.
The Town Hall filled up rather quickly and Van Cocidius proceeded to deliver a somewhat touching speech. Within this speech he announced that he would be stepping down as Chancellor and elections would be held on Monday the 1st of January.
The fighting and bloodyshed was now over for the city of Vesper as both factions called their truce, the fate of the city was now in the hands of the elections once more.
