And they are hostiles. There's my point. And, what do these aggressive mosters worship?

As for Ocllo, I I've never gone exploring there, given my distaste for Fel, and as pointed out, they seem to be in some ways foreign to Sosaria.

Somewhere along the line, EA Origin (possibly going back as far as when Garriot was still consulting) made it a decision that Ultima Online wasn't going to have Player-Character Clerics. Can anyone remember which Ultima last had Clerics as PCs or companions thereof?

The point I was making is that what was originally clerical magic from the earliest Ultima games got folded into Magery. Paladins have little of that, altered to being servants of Good as opposed to an actual religion, and their powers have a definer that is unlike any of the true spellcasters, but very much like the "Non-Spells" of the Samurai in that skills don't govern anything but the chance to cast (Chivalry: Karma-based, Bushido: Honor based).

Padre: As for similarity, the end results mean nothing. Similar end effects is a matter of convergence, not of relation or equivalence.

You can run a truck on Diesel Fuel or Corn Oil - same end result; but that doesn't mean that you can deep-fry french fries in Diesel and still be able to eat them.

OR, for example, since both men and birds walk on two legs, that would mean man must be more closely related to birds than to 4-legged mammals - it just means we both have other uses for our forelimbs.

And, yes, I'd make or buy an in-game-craftable consumable to mark with my non-mages, in a heartbeat.

I think that if you cannot spend enough time to create a char with 50 magery, (a mule?) then you are too lazy to play UO. Saying you are forced to do anything is completely ridiculous...considering this game is SUPPOSED to be an MMO (with like other people and stuff? and vendors too!!?)

:sad3:
