Just noticed this behavior today. On Atlantic, I found a ringmail tunic with decent resists and it was listed as "Container Price". I assumed this meant it was part of a max-resist suit, which is what I was looking for. The container price as 95K. When I teleported to the vendor and used the "Open Containing Container" option on the map, I was greeted by a vendor full of locked Paragon chests, all priced at 95K. No other containers are on that vendor.
