Not gold value. Value value.

Well I moved to trading heartwoods. No big deal the are strangely cheap so they make good bartering items.

Lots of players say the suck now because of imbuing.
Some say buy em up.

What I was wondering is how heartwood runics fletchs help with imbuing. Do the have the potential to help in anyway? Is velocity imbuable?

Do they make relics if you get an item you dont need?

It might be interesting to have runics have the chance to create ranges or properties imbuing cant do.

Maybe this is already true. The crafters forum is a bit dead.

Just wondering.

Can't really help with value, but I can help with a few of your other questions.

Yes we can imbue velocity onto bows.

Yes you can unravel higher end bows for relics.

And I personally use low end oak kits to try and craft balance to a bow to save me time from having to go to the darn Rat Cave for those items for imbuing.

Ah thats a good idea
Can you unimbue properties off a bow and just strip it to balance then imbue what you want.

Sadly, no. Once a property has been imbued on or crafted on...all we can do is lower it to 1 or 1% but it will still count as 1 of 5 properties allowed.

That is the reason for using the oak kits. Usually you will only get 1 or 2 mods by using the kits so it's not uncommon to get an exceptional bow with only balanced and DI properties. You can then either imbue DI down to 1% and add 3 other properties or leave DI at 40% and you will probably only get to imbue 2 properies at or around max intensity. Hearwoods would produce bows with 4-5 mods and even getting a bow with the all the mods you want would be pretty low. If your just wanting a bow without being balanced, then it is probably better to use a regular fletching kit and imbue all the properties you want on an exceptional weapon.

Correct BUT remember you have to enhance after imbuing and using powder of fort if you want to get the wood bonus too (ssi, di, etc).

So choices are 'go random' with Heartwood kit and special wood and hope for the best.

Or go with Oak/Ash and regular wood, imbue, then risk losing bow to add extra SSI or whatever with wood.

For armor - it is a no-brainer to go with Barb kit and barb leather and forget imbuing.

For weapons - metal doesn't mean much to enhance so go with low runics and imbue what you want.

I've burned a bunch of DC hammers keeping the superslayers and then slapping on desired mods with imbuing.

I usually use plain ingredients to make items with the low end runics. Hoping to get a talway with only 30 ssi and 40 di or a bow with only balanced or only ssi. Then I enhance it.

The high end runics are not so good for imbuing. they usually have too many properties and not the combination you would like. So I just make with whater wood/resource I like. then IF its super i keep if its not I unravel.
