US Server Populations

I often see new players wondering which of the servers have the highest and lowest populations, so I decided to find out. I used a website that searches vendors to make this list as I figure that activity of vendors and players will likely reflect on how active a server is (ie: this may not be 100% correct, but it's close enough)

US Server Populations
  • Atlantic (E)
  • Lake Superior (E)
  • Chesapeake (E)
  • Pacific (W)
  • Catskills (E)
  • Great Lakes (E)
  • Sonoma (W)
  • Baja (W)
  • Lake Austin (W)
  • Napa Valley (W)
  • Legends (E)
  • Origin (W)
So by looking at this, East Coast servers are MUCH more populated than West Coast servers. Atlantic's population (through my method) was roughly the size of all of the other shards combined.

Do remember, however, that the lower population servers do have a benefit in that they will generally have a lot more housing options than the high population servers. They also will usually have a tighter-knit community.

Your list is probably pretty accurate, given the fact that there's no real way to get solid numbers. The only different thing that I would change is Great Lakes should move a little more up on the list.
