UOC question

In UO Cartographer, you can find and track locations/players. But you can only find locations by X/Y coordinates, not Longtitude/latitude (sp?), is there any way to switch to that when searching?

I was looking for the same function, but could not find it. The only thing similar I found was that you can display either type of coordinates, but not track by either.

I had to install a version of UOAM and use that to convert the coordinates and then put them into UOC.

I hope someone has found a way to do this within UOC

I am not sure which version you are using, but I have the most current (0.9.8.1) and I have the option you are talking about. If I choose "find" from the UOC menu the window that is displayed offers 3 tabs; People & Places, Lat & Long and X & Y. Perhaps you need to update your UOC?

*UPDATE*

0.9.8.0 Dec 17:
+ Fix lat/long coordinates in Fel/Tram.
+ Find window extended to 3 tabs - "People & Places", "Lat & Long" and "X & Y". All work the same way and center the map on the chosen location (on the current facet). You can also tick the "Track?" button to get a destination pointer on the map that you can follow. (Use Clear Destination to get rid of it).
+ Installer will not overwrite icons.bmp or icons.txt if they exist.

That is the version I have. Is there anyway you can tell me where you found the option, or post a screenie or 2 of the location? I guess I am completely blind, but I still cannot find it :(

How can i get my UO cartographer to display building names in cities. I.e. healer, bank, tailor, etc?

Right+Click anywhere on the map window, select "Find." There should be a window that pops up with three tabs across the top; People & Places, Lat & Long and X & Y. Depending on which tab you select determines what information you can use to make your search.

Hope that helps.

P.S. - Not at home to take a screenshot, but if you are still unable to find it I will do so this evening.

I tried that, but it sets the coords somewhere weird instead of where its supposed to.

I always used UOA for doing my MIB's...

I've yet to figure out how to do that using UOC.

I used to take about 25 MIB's at a time and "plot" all the co-ordinates... made sailing to each of them much easier because I could easily see which were all grouped together and could sail to them very quickly...

But for some reason I just can't figure out how to get that to work in UOC.
