UO Website not working?!??

Just curious if anyone else is experiencing this issue.

Go to update my account to add the booster pack to it, and when you click on the 'edit account' button, it goes into the ...Cannot display message...

Kinda sad, wanted to try the new expansion out today!

I had the same issue, I found if I gave it a second or two before selecting edit account and during each step of the upgrade it worked. It was almost like it was a fast finger issue, single click instead of double clicking it.

Hope you get it to work and can join in on the fun!

Lot of folks hitting that page. As advised, take it slowly. Worked for me.

I ended up having to hit F5 repeatedly to get any of the pages to load....Fortuantely it did!!

Going to start my fisherman today, yipppeeee!!! :)

For 2 days now I can get to the accept EA blah blah blah rules screen and when I click accept it will sit for a few minutes and then return with message to check internet connection, verify website etc.

For a software company that takes money off us users on a monthly basis you would think they could provide working servers especially when they know they are going to get a high amount trying to access said server. :twak:

And yes while I do agree many people are trying to upgrade I have attempted this Sat 7am, 9:20am, 4pm, 9pm, 11pm Sun 1am, 5am, 7am and 4:30pm you would figure that atleast once I could have gotten thru. I only have time to play on weekends so you can see I was fairly diligent in trying to upgrade

So here we are 3 days later still trying to upgrade account sure glad I bothered paying the money NOT, and with 5 accounts to upgrade and not having successfully completed 1 to this point i am regreting purchasing the addition at this time

To those that havent purchased booster pack I strongly suggest that you dont bother for awhile, you wont get to play it anyhow :cursing:

I am having the same problem. Starts to load for about 15 seconds before "Internet Explorer cannot...

Did you ever get it to work?

Not so far but only trying once per night now - dont have time to play but figure if it finally works will get chars done so I am ready for weekend.

Have chatted with players I know thru icq/email and have found this is a very prevalent problem and most players gave up and just phoned in to have account updated.

Personally being in the IT industry for the last 27 years I am curious how long this process is going to take. I would be amazed if no one was fired over this (but I am certain we wont hear about it anyhow). This a not anything against the software engineers that design the game, fix bugs, etc they have a tough job and I applaud the job they do. But the network engineers are responsible for keeping the servers up and running, watching for bottlenecks AND to verify that a server is capable of handling the workload assigned to it. And it is very noticeable that they did not do this, I have spent many years performing these very tasks and have seen people fired for a lot less of a fiasco than what we are having to put up with right now especially the fact that we are days after the release and they still havent resolved the issue.

If I still havent upgraded by friday though I will just phone in so as I dont miss another opportunity to test the new game features, besides if it still isnt working by friday I believe we can just accept the fact that their network engineers are just too incompetent to ever resolve the issue

Relic, what do you do with paid vendors who won't keep you updated on their progress?
I look at EA as the same thing. We just dumped an IP provider that had poor skills that.
Hearing 'something' is better than nothing, agree?
