It has come to one of the twice annual occasions when I need your help to keep it right.
Please would you help me by checking it periodically as the various countries move on to their daylight saving time formats and let me know where it's wrong.

Would be better if it had timezone names, instead of city names...like CET (Central European Time) instead of Rome.

I thought 'no' on that, because too few people know what the time zones are. I'm willing to change it if everyone would prefer that.

Uhm...how would people be more likely to know that Sweden, Germany or Denmark would mean Rome?

That makes even less sense...Everyone would know what Central European Time is much more than each individual city.

The time for Sydney is wrong. It is displaying Australian Eastern Standard Time when it should be in Eastern Daylight Time. Put it 1 hour forward.

Is that a joke or a misunderstanding?

GMT is the standard from which all else is measured. It does not change. The UK is currently on BST (British Summer Time) which is defined as GMT +1.

Petra,
Tokyo, Japan is in the same Time zone as South Korea. It's an hour later than it should be. I checked it at 7:17 pm and it said 8:18 pm. I hope this helps! (Japan and Korea don't use DST so that might have been the problem.)

Do I live in Hawaii? Or in Sydney? If I do, I probably know what the hell time zone I'm in.

And if I don't live in one of these places, and I care what time it is there for some damn reason, I can probably take stock of the fact that I'm a.) already wasting time worrying about what time it is in a place I don't live and b.) I'm doing this research specifically on Stratics for some reason. Then I can waste just a little more time and Google a map of the time zones myself.

The purpose of the world clock on Stratics was to try to make it easier for people to work out timings for event announcements. If no one finds it useful I can just get rid of it altogether and not worry about keeping it accurate.

I like having the feature. Thanks for setting it up.
