33-60% loss and 300+ pings on LS. Playable if you want to hunt orcs with EVs. NOT playable for any serous content, at this rate bane will take all the world by lag......

20-30% is harsh ,even for my standards that is unplayable ...
looks to be the good ole fert08 washington hop in a tracert. I'm actually happy it seems like everyone is having this problem, as last time it was an issue, it was just a handful of us. Even contacting ISPs did nothing to solve. Maybe EA can complain enough.

I posted something in general chat asking if I was the only one experiencing lag...nobody replied so I came online here to see.
I looked back at that link from last September...I doubt 'kiddies out from school' are causing this kind of lag, and by looking at that link above I read it as having been a month long 'event' of lag.
The shards I play today are waaaay bad, as someone else posted, maybe unplayable...
Once I quit this game I will close all of my accounts...this best not cause me to come to that decision but....so many butts.

I play Atlantic from Nebraska, and today is the first day I've experience major lag. My ISP is Time Warner and at it's slowest my connection is 7Mbs, average around 9.5 Mbps, which is plenty to do pretty much anything in the game.
At the very least it's good to know that it's a common problem and not just something that's happening to me. EA has plenty of money. I'm sure they'll be able to afford to do a major upgrade to the antiquated server in question. Maybe even go up as fast as a Pentium II 233 Mhz!

Welcome to my world. Sadly I pay for "High Speed" internet which is supposed to get me up to 20 to 25mps of download speed. What I have been getting for the last four and a half months is 2 to 10mps... I've complained, complained some more, screamed, been a major B, had the service guy out here every week for 4 months and screamed some more... to be told its "a known issue" and they are working on it....
And I've been told that there are too many "gamers" in my area sucking up all the bandwidth and if I want better service I should "move to an area with a bunch of old people". I'm like really? That's the best you can do? Seriously it takes over 4 freaking months to fix my stinking bandwidth?
Apparently my ISP won't do ANYTHING to up the service "nodes" in an area until they get X # of complaints about speed and until they can document that X # of people are having "issues" with slow speed. Well I finally "escalated" my call to the "highest" level and got the ball rolling 3 months ago.... up until then I got any number of lame excuses as to why my internet was slow and dropping me from things.
It's been so bad that I have random "brown outs" of things... Like I'll be playing and all the sudden my Trillian will disconnect. Then when that reconnects Vent goes down... and then often UO drops me... this goes on and on and on for over 4 months to the point I went to the State Utilities Board and complained. I had a write up in the local newspaper and complained... I complained to the City Council... who did a survey to see if we could do local service of internet and all much better than these yahoo's ..... But after 4 and a half months I'm still plagued by random drops of service and sever loss and random drops..... but I'm now averaging about 8 to 10 and I'm told they are "still working on upgrading the service" and they tell me they hope to be able to offer a guaranteed 50mps soon.... I said well you should upgrade me for free since I've paid for so long and NOT GOTTEN the 20 to 25 I've been paying for.
Trust me I've been sooo fed up about it I swear they must think I'm a sailor or a sailors wife.... or the wife of a pirate... I've even taken to making up cuss words for them.
