LMAO!!! I watched that and all I could think of was your post. It was mostly all about sparklies that do nothing."Again, more sparklies that do nothing, this time with a globe that apparently does nothing, as well."
lol, I love the narration.![]()
You want greatness pay for it...I do wish they would make UO free to play but members get special happy benefits (not the same as happy endings)
Oh I got nothing wrong with the greatness of Ultima Online, to me it's still the best MMORPG out there. You want greatness pay for it...
Patch your client, the CC patch came out about 2.5 hours ago.Not working in classic client? I go to the edge there to check it out on TC1 and I see the stone and water, no base :/
Then again I don't see snow either on TC1, wasn't that supposed to be in the publish just done to it?
So a three tile choke is bad when every other base has a two tile choke point?I don't like this design. It was bad enough having to fight people under an overhang in the old COM base, now they will have that plus the roof and a 3 tile choke? This will become one of the most easily defended bases by far.
Also that Enhanced Client blurry star effect hurts my eyes, literally. I wouldn't be able to play there with that. I got teared up just looking at it for a few moments in the video.
Already have it, this was just after patching, no snow, no new base :/Patch your client, the CC patch came out about 2.5 hours ago.
Then your patch failed...Already have it, this was just after patching, no snow, no new base :/

OK!![]()
Sl base has multiple 1 tile choke points, and tb has massive crap in the way? Minax is the only base that "might" have 2 tiles all the way through but I have not checked this in awhile. If anything CoM's new base has the widest choke point of current bases. So a three tile choke is bad when every other base has a two tile choke point?I don't like this design. I've had them fail before, but it generally says that they failed, then you delete the temp files and let it re-patch...but when it first went it seemed to succeed, and now all I get when running uopatch is the normal..Then your patch failed...Try again.
The snow will be on all shards, the CoM base only on TC1.
Anyone else with classic client not seeing it or is this just a fluke case?Starting patch session...

Works for me -- south part of Moonglow Fel on TC1.Anyone else with classic client not seeing it or is this just a fluke case?
It's possible that patch will not work correctly on some systems. If this happened - you can find in your uo 2d client folder 21 files with names like RT<random letter><5 digits>. It's temporary patch files used by 2d client patcher. For some reason patch didn't replaced old version of files with new ones (but reported about successful patching). You should rename temp files according to the following table (filename, filesize):Anyone else with classic client not seeing it or is this just a fluke case?
Minax door is 5 tiles wide, no 2 tile choke there. So a three tile choke is bad when every other base has a two tile choke point?

Are you forgetting the entry to the mountain that is 1 or 2 tiles the whole way?Minax door is 5 tiles wide, no 2 tile choke there.
The new COM base lets you field a 3 tile choke from two stories and under an overhang. Trying to raid a base from the top down is the absolute worst direction. Do you enter player houses from the back? Do you enter any NPC building from the back? No. Why would they design it like that.
I am having this same issue. Problem for me NOW is I uninstalled before someone linked this post to me. I now have no patch files in my folder due to a clean install and the patch reporting it is UPDATED. HELP!!!It's possible that patch will not work correctly on some systems. You can replace old files in your uo 2d client folder with renamed temp files and it will be completely patched. Or wait for dev's response (some patcher fix).
That path should have been made wider. It is also a double-edged sword for the defenders. You could just as easily get fielded behind and trapped. The only real defense point is at the entrance of the base. Are you forgetting the entry to the mountain that is 1 or 2 tiles the whole way?
Who cares, there is no reason to defend the bases anyways.
Ummm Minax Base has a huge pathway before that JC. Don't try and act like that massive choke isn't part of the base.Minax door is 5 tiles wide, no 2 tile choke there.
