[*] Players now have a 100% chance to get sand when mining for this resource.Purchasing items while from vendors using funds in a player's bank will now be taken from check form if gold coins are not present in a players bank.
You may want to add one or two crucial words here for clarity... It should be:Players will no longer be able to scuttle a ship in Trammel
Seconded!:bowdown::bowdown:[*] Players now have a 100% chance to get sand when mining for this resource.Purchasing items while from vendors using funds in a player's bank will now be taken from check form if gold coins are not present in a players bank.
Seconded! :bowdown::bowdown:
I am with Norrar on this one. I am against this addition. While some folks will grief, it is cost prohibitive to make this a rampant problem. However, if this modification is truly deemed necessary by the Developers, then at least allow for warring guilds in tram to scuttle each other's ships. With being unable to scuttle ships in Tram, how will we RP'ers be able to have sea battles?
Will Guild Wars override this?

Go to Fel? lol no one is there ... you could have some great battles.I am with Norrar on this one. I am against this addition. ==> This will kill crab fishing altogether. All fishing will now act like every other resource gathering in the game. If an area is fished out you will get a message stating so.
I hope scuttling ships in Trammel still will be possible with the appropriate guild highlighting (green or orange)???Players will no longer be able to scuttle a ship in Trammel
Good changes!
But guys, did you read any of the long-winded discussions about
1. Cannons and ship-to-ship combat being too resource intensive and complicated
Hopefully the devs are not going to change anything regarding cannons, mainly because there is no reason to make anything easier. If it takes you more than 20 shots to scuttle another ship then you're doing it wrong. Likewise, if it's hard to collect 1,500 boards and 1,500 cloth for repairs, well, that's pretty sad. 150 swings from an axe is no problem if you use a use last object / last target macro, and you can just buy cloth from an npc. Like I said in your thread, your thread is not based on facts, it's based on your first time experience playing new content. You have some vocal idiots in there like Skrag, who hadn't even played the content, but not enough to go on really. You should have done five or ten pirates then averaged out the costs. That would be worthy of a "FACTS" tag to your thread. But guys, did you read any of the long-winded discussions about

Why are people scared to go to Fel? The funny thing with Trammel scuttling is that my friend parked his ship in Fel near emporium and no one has ever touched him. Meanwhile, some of my ships have been fired on near Tram's emporium, haha. Just get all your RP buddies to Fel, no one ever goes there.I hope scuttling ships in Trammel still will be possible with the appropriate guild highlighting (green or orange)???
Because pushing play on a Resource Macro constitutes as "Work" these days....Why not sell all types of ingots, wood, gems, imbueing ingredients on regular vendors for 5gp each? Believe it or not some people make there fortunes gathering resources for the people who are too lazy to do so. This reward for no work mentality will be the downfall of our society.
I happen to mine "manually" several hours a week, as do several other people I see on my shard. Back in the T2A days I mined for what seemed like an eternity to pay for my first house. Maybe we need a statue that drops resources every time you click it, that sounds more like your style.Because pushing play on a Resource Macro constitutes as "Work" these days....

Actually, my thread is based on facts, and I only list facts. I did finish one pirate quest. I don't want things to be easy, I just want them to be less annoying. I could live with the boards, but the crafting of ammunition is an outright molestation. It has nothing to do with skill and experience, it is just a tedious waste of time.Hopefully the devs are not going to change anything regarding cannons, mainly because there is no reason to make anything easier. Why should I have to go to Felucca in order to make sea battles? It doesn't make sense since we can do all PvP we want in Trammel. It shouldn't be too hard to allow sea battles according to guild highlighting in Trammel. Why are people scared to go to Fel? The funny thing with Trammel scuttling is that my friend parked his ship in Fel near emporium and no one has ever touched him. Meanwhile, some of my ships have been fired on near Tram's emporium, haha. Just get all your RP buddies to Fel, no one ever goes there.
Sadly, what we've tended to see is many 'brave and heroic' PvPers bringing their blue characters to the seas on Trammel, attacking solo sailors or anchored boats, and then filling chat with bragging about how great they are and how 'Trammies suck'...Why are people scared to go to Fel? When someone points out that the entire system is a giant economic disaster where a single powder charge costs more than the reward for taking down a pirate? Well screw you Skrag! Have you begged anyone in chat to make you materials for cheap? Have you grinded up a crafting mule to make it all yourself?Skrag
I like it the way it works now...The whole thing with clicking four different buttons and targeting a bunch of inventory crap just to prepare a gun to fire is incredibly bad design from the ground up.
I agree 100% this will KILL Crab Fishing which stinks altogether right now because you lose 40% of the time anyway, not to mention 65% of the time you get plain crabs and/or lobsters. So having to pick up and move to a new spot every few uses will make this already overly tedious chore even more distasteful.Good changes!
But guys, did you read any of the long-winded discussions about
1. Cannons and ship-to-ship combat being too resource intensive and complicated
2. Fishing powerscrolls being too rare and the quests being too tedious (especially concerning the relation between work and reward)

So let me get this straight. You're going to make saltpeter prices skyrocket like they did on the beta test?
I think this is the last straw, frankly.
I am not one of the players who spend 24/7 playing UO. And you're pricing the whole new Booster out of my reach.
If you think I am going to bother with this rubbish you are sorely mistaken. I hope your hard core or loony fans enjoy clicking their mouse for the next 8 years just to mine 4 saltpeter. I expect more for my £9.99 a month!
What a crock!
Ive made crafters on Ches, Catskills, and Origin, and maybe I'll make one on Atlantic as well. If I had a crafter there right now I'd help ya out, just the fact that you complained about content you hadn't even tested which bugged me, trying to give people advice about how pirate battles should go without even doing one. Then Pike just did one, which also pissed me off because he didn't even TRY to get better at doing them, instead he just posted here for the Devs to make pirates easier for him.Have you begged anyone in chat to make you materials for cheap? Have you grinded up a crafting mule to make it all yourself?
Right ... so if a doctor gives you a pill and says he tested it one time and the patient got better ... you'd take that pill, right? When a person has the audacity to put the word "FACTS" in a thread title the person should at least have some sort of a statistical average to look at, not just a first impression.Actually, my thread is based on facts, and I only list facts. I did finish one pirate quest. I don't want things to be easy, I just want them to be less annoying. I could live with the boards, but the crafting of ammunition is an outright molestation. No one has complained that they're too difficult, you ever so brilliant little scamp. How do you type this stuff with a straight face?I'm forever puzzled by anyone who has difficulty with these quests.
