Item Insurance Update
All items have been evaluated based on their true value and these values will now be used to determine insurance costs.
·[FONT=&quot] [/FONT]Scaling insurance cost
[FONT=&quot]o[FONT=&quot] [/FONT][/FONT]New insurance costs will be between 10gp and 600gp.
[FONT=&quot]o[FONT=&quot] [/FONT][/FONT]Magical items cost will be based on their worth in the Imbuing system.
§[FONT=&quot] [/FONT]All community collection items will remain 600gp.
[FONT=&quot]o[FONT=&quot] [/FONT][/FONT]Non-magical item cost is based on a percentage of the items vendor price.
[FONT=&quot]o[FONT=&quot] [/FONT][/FONT]Player will now be receiving 100% insurance value for player kills and factions players will receiving 50% insurance value for player kills.
·[FONT=&quot] [/FONT]New improved interface added to the player context menu
[FONT=&quot]o[FONT=&quot] [/FONT][/FONT]Displays all insurable items currently within the players backpack and equipped on paperdoll.
[FONT=&quot]o[FONT=&quot] [/FONT][/FONT]Displays current insurance status for each item.
[FONT=&quot]o[FONT=&quot] [/FONT][/FONT]Total insurance cost, the number of deaths payable, and the gold available are displayed for the player.

This was the patch note from 1/12/2010 from UO, so not sure if there is a new patch and they posted old info or if they just hit the wrong button and posted the note again (probably ment to hit the button that turned off the log-in servers).

Due to the issues brought about by the recent hueing changes we have added new skin dyes to the Alchemist and Provisioner NPC’s – this will allow players to dye their skin to any hue within their race. The name of the dye is Skin Tingeing Tincture. The cost of the tincture is approx 2,500.
Fixed a vendor exploit involving skill/stat changes.
Patch
7.0.4.4 (Legacy)
4.0.4.4 (Enhanced)

Fixed an issue with cave walls blocking movement
Reverting Snow
Auto-joining a non-existent custom chat channels on login will now auto-create the channel instead of notifying the player that the channel does not exist.
The volume on the Reveal Spell has been reduced.

Um, so wait just a sec. Not that it matters a whole heck of a lot in the great scheme of things, but do we get charged full boat (pvm value) for deaths in pvp and faction pvp? Hmmmmmmm

So it doesn't show your insured items on your paperdoll now and does it auto renew. This looks more confusing, maybe its just me. Guess I have to get killed a few times and see whats what. Although it seems a bit unneeded.

Oh just seen the auto insure on the gump, but having trouble selecting the item. Sorry figured it out now, but for some reason it the gump was not working right at first.

I haven't checked it out yet. It's probably only on TC using the Enhanced Client.

I just insured alot of stuff on TC and it still has the insured label.

At the top of the new menu also is an 'AUTO REINSURE' button. :)

In the new menu for it, it would be nice to have a column that says whether the item displayed is on your paperdoll or in your backpack as it can be hard to tell sometimes. A "total items insured" number might be nice too.

Aside from that, it seems great. Big improvement.

After a few seconds of playing got it to work, like I said before the gump was not working right for me at first and not showing everything. LOL well atleast when we kill ourselves we don't lose gold. I guess you can take it with you.

Hmmm... so now they are tallying insured items per character. I wonder if part of this could help with the elusive insurance bug(s)?

Yeah, that maybe part of it. It also means no trading insured items, I think. Need to go try that now.

Yeah lol was me, Also if you drop it on ground it stays insure but the money does deduct from your total insured properly.

Yeah ALL gargoyle jewelry is not showing rings, bracelets earrings and necklaces. Human ones show not sure about pendant of magi I do not have the recipe any more.

Thats good, only gargoyle things that I have seen show so far is cloth armor and Stone armor. The rest of the armor is not showing. I am not going to test them all, guess Devs need to go over the list.

I'm glad they spent a lot of development time and energy on this. Insurance was so overpowered in pvp. I'm sure this will just open up a huge can of bugs too, can't wait to see it unfold.

I'm curious of how deep the changes go.
Is it just a new interface, or does it fix some of the existing problems with insurance?

Great news for my artificer as there will be tons of items lost to all the bugs. Should keep me in business well beyond the 3 months someone else on the boards predicted as the end of imbuing.

Yeah, no doubt. Many already brag about how much gold they make killin peeps. Now they can double that.
Not really. Before it was 300 GP per item insured: Now it might be a fraction of that (IE., a miner who insures only the (nonmagical) clothes on his back). Might make going after monsters more profitable.

Great new thing for new players they dont have to lose so much gold when they die.

But the insurance was in the beginning added as a goldsink or not? Now it will even become cheaper to have insured items? Way to go on fixing economy.....
You could have added Arties and replica insurance cost 2K or something so there actually was some huge change that matters.

:thumbup: For whoever came up with great idea to do this, I have to say its great that the focus is on new players but this wont fix the economy so items will end up still being to expensive for new players to afford and they might end up quitting faster because they are to far behind.

Sorry I just dont see whats good about this except for people who doesnt have so much gold.
