Ultima is marketed differently in Japan. They advertise with an anime style on their website, for example. Perhaps a difference of culture and marketing, but still very much Ultima.

And some quite respectable art on that site...I like the Eastern-looking people and the Western-looking dragon; an excellent reminder of UO's cross-cultural nature.

Been watching Eastern-style swordplay vs. Western-style swordplay on Youtube of late; kinda neat to imagine how it actually looks when it's our UO characters doing it. (Meaning how it looks to the characters.)

I like the figure too.

Regrettably I cannot draw a stick figure.

Don't worry about offending someone... if Mythic's intention was to put up screenshots, they wouldn't be asking for art. Your adaptation of your character is very cool, and if some cantankerous gimboid decides that it's necessary to comment how it isn't like UO, well, that cantankerous gimboid should get out to an art museum and see how often art imitates life, but still manages to be "not real life."

UO may have a specific air and art style, but it's an MMO.. it is made of the players and their stories and personalities. Therefore while the art style of the game itself may be one thing, the art style of representations of it would number as many as the number of players we have. Not liking some of the styles doesn't make them wrong.

I've removed a few posts. We're not here to debate art or how this is or isn't uo related. A UO player made it. It's modeled after one of her characters. It's a part of a UO sponsored talent showcase. End of discussion.

As for the other nit picking and general negativity, If you don't have anything constructive to add, keep your opinion to yourself. Next person who posts "Why are we wasting time with this?" or "shouldn't this thread be in "off topic" ?" or anything along those lines is gonna get

That said, Very nice work Peil. You're very talented. Until I took a closer look (and read your reply) I thought it was a photograph of a figure I was looking at. Congrats!
