We just wanted you to know that we're aware that some slimes in the Slime Event have not been moving on properly, or giving all the hues that they were supposed to. We're currently working on a fix for theses issues and we will extend the Slime Event as necessary so everyone has the time to fully enjoy it. Please keep an eye here on the Herald for updates about the slimes!

This has already dropped to page 2, so I figure I'll bump it - in other words, folks, yes, the Slime Event IS bugged at the moment.

Wow! It would have been nice to knwo this 10 days ago......ya know, when people first started reporting it. I understand about the holidays, but not even one person was working in the EAMYthic offices?

Poor form.

I disagree. This isn't a game breaking issue and if there was a skeleton staff in the office, they probably would not have been able to identify that there was even a problem. I'm sure that if the log-in servers failed or something severe like that happened, there would have been someone in the office or on call to handle it. Everyone, including EA/Mythic is entitled to time off to be with their families and enjoy the holidays.

What Shanshu was expressing is that there were people who spent real time investment searching for the slimes. If there was a short announcement such as this it would have saved users wasted time.

For example

Dev response: we understand the slimes are broken and it will be investigated after we come back from winter break.

Problem for the moment *solved.

I try to keep my opinions to myself, but come one people, the EA team needed a holiday vaction just like the rest of us. Its not like the slimes didnt work at all. ugg makes me so mad sometimes that everyone is so quick to start hen pecking over suck little problems. Just be glad they gave us the slime event.

And to the EA team, keep up the good work, you guys are doing just fine, in the past few months there has been tons of new stuff for us to enjoy, and just so you know some of us really do enjoy and appreciate it.

Happy New year to you all and keep the good stuff coming.

When they left, the Slimes APPEARED to be working correctly.

People only started reporting the lack of color variation the weekend after christmas, by which time they were on vacation. Similarly, only one or two shards had early problems with their spawning at all, which could have been the result of not looking in the right spot. Most shards didn't have the spawn totally stop until AFTER the Doom or Tokuno locations, 5 or 6 spots along.

At least they are going to fix it, not leave it as-is from the event going wrong (can you say, "Yew Swamp"? I know you could....)

Looking forward to a fix. YAY!
+1 :)

I am excited about Slime Tour II!

So far, I've only had time to visit the Slimes once - at the Brit Fields. I had alot of fun though, and really liked the Greys and Dark Blue the best. I've since gathered up some deco items and duplicate accessories for dyeing, and was afraid that I might not get the chance.

Way to go Dev Team! Thank you for fixing the Slimes! :)

Wow. I am shocked by just how far people lower the bar on their expectations. You pay for this game. A person or persons on staff to investigate and communicate is not too much to ask. I have never worked anywhere when it was acceptable for the entire team to be incommunicado for 10 days.

I have also never been a part of a team that implemented something new and then broke for vacation. There are always bound to be bugs. Simple planning could have avoided this.
