Please....the set up on Order side is horrible, everyone is standing around afk and it's like a big blue wall, I go through my precious little tithing points to divine fury through everyone.

I don't know what it is but I seriously think all trammie afk banksitters chose order, not to be mean or anything! It's just not fun when you can either A) Go to Chaos and get free stuff everytime, or B) Go to Order and either farm bless deeds like the rest of the pvm crowd, afk in town and make everyone angry cus you're in the way or go through the gate to attempt to fight and get ganked by the 30 choas ppl that actually want to have fun.

The system is awesome, the concept is awesome, it's a fun little game like capture the flag I love it! Supreem you said you were going to make the team selection random, have you done that? As of last night it was not like that and even though it seems like a good idea, once implemented it might not be lol but it's worth a shot!

ok i must be bugged...i never chose a side because i logged in and out right away to put in macros. then it just put me on order side but im not green to anyone. is there any way to fix that? :/

Edit: and thank you for creating the shardofthedead. Great concept and it will be interesting when the crazy cursed items hit the regular shard. The feel is very much like when I started playing before trammel, fighting PKs and each other around our sandstone workshop guildhouse.

When I began on Shard of the Dead I logged in and out before choosing a gate so I could port over my macros. When I got back in, the game auto-put me in Order, but I remained blue. Starting fresh, a couple of my "allies" PKed me--and everyone else who didn't have gear--even though we were all on the same team. But eventually I earned enough money to get a spellbook, I farmed with EVs, and I gathered up enough Infernal Bless deeds to secure my entire all-70s, 2/6 cast (and not all LRC, didn't have the patience for that grind quite yet) suit. Still, the grind was annoying. Not sure how much better it would have been if char transfers worked, since you'd still have to get everything blessed (and since your suit would basically be worthless due to the new loot mods).

I played one round, thought it was lame how no one was orange to me (didn't really know who to attack), nearly killed the chaos base myself before anyone noticed, and Order won. After that, I had another character take all my blessed stuff off the ground, since blessed stuff can't be traded for some reason, then I transferred it to a brand new character who actually went through a gate first before logging out to port macros. Then I played a couple more rounds on my new guy.

I have to say, the combat is fun, but the grind before that wasn't. The difference is you used to be able to kill a PK with a group and take all of his gear, but since on Shard of the Dead the PKs already have a full-blessed suit made of crazy-ass mods, you just have to grind through it and deal with rez-kills etc, especially when not a lot of people are on. Not sure how that can be remedied, unless maybe the starting out area could have a guardzone or something. Also, Shame is too narrow for the amount of players playing at primetime. If you can't teleport it's a real pancake. Supreem moving the ankh will help, but it's still a problem-area. I know they wanted to use the dungeon to promote the upcoming content, but Shard of the Dead could have had a better made arena.

Via my FB: I tried both Order and Chaos. On Order I swung, missed and got killed a lot but felt a part of something. On Chaos I charged in as a llama, no skills or armor and claimed Victory! It's madness! Great job Supreem! We need to rally Order ^_^

I just want to reiterate my support for making this a paid add on to the game. Make it permanent! Rotate out the spawns and reset the counters for Order/Chaos when the spawn changes so there's a clear champion side, but theres also a chance for the opposition to claim victory!

This is really some of the best of Ultima Online and it's a direct result of the awesome work of our Dev Team Unleashed!

Maybe they should have had it like old factions, with weighted sides to prevent one side from becoming a zerg by the numbers. Then people would have to choose the other side if their first choice had too many additional players. I guess they could also try something like weighted base HP, maybe have the guardian's HP be based off the total HP of the raiding team ;P. But that would take more work, I'd imagine.

I've never pvp'd before and since being on Shard of the Dead I've began pvping and really enjoy it. I'm on Order side. It really chaps my hide when I see lots of people go through the blue gate, but as fast as they go through the gate they hide and/or go back through the gate to the base leaving only 2 to 3 people to fight the Chaos mass. Like I said, I've never pvp'd before on my home shard, but at least I go through the gate and give it all I have. I've only stayed alive a few times, but it was fun.

I switched to order once I realized chaos was running the table, handed my spleen quite a few times. Made those chaos kills (even the serious injuries) all the sweeter.

As a trammie I had a blast running though the gate trying to kill the other team...till I lost my armor and had to collect more. I couldn't stop laughing at the monsters killing me....it's great thanks dev's.
I hope you do something like this for christmas. (I spent way too many hours there yesterday)

It's pretty cool to hear stories from people whom have never PvPed before prior to Shard of the Dead. Hopefully Arenas will continue that progress.

I agree. I hope the arenas work well and are utilized. I would still like to see a series of small arenas like a gladiator pit that could be used for guild PvP training.
